And once again the nasty side of Mary comes out.  How nasty she and Rosamond were.

Yes!  That’s why the look on her face made me sad.  To me, it was…I dunno.  She doesn’t want to be Mrs. Hughes anymore.  She married the man she loves and now can’t even be called by her new name the majority of the time.  And how it must have hurt that so many people were happy to not have to call her anything else.  I think it was Carson’s idea and she just went along with it.  Maybe it goes back to her, “We’ll be doing things your way for the next thirty years,” or maybe it was her giving over to something she didn’t want because he’d conceded over the reception.

So there I was, asking myself, ‘why doesn’t he tell Mrs. Hughes what he told Mrs. Patmore?!’ But then it hit me!! - He told her in his own way, by showing her!
