FEEL TOO MUCH.

“If I hear one more person tell me their new year resolution, I may pull out my hair,” the blonde rolled her eyes as she adjusted her coat. “We all know that the resolutions magically disappear and become forgotten within a week anyway. What’s the point of making one?”

Laughing, Leo scrunched up her nose in thought. “I dunno. All my resolutions have been kinda drunken, heat-of-the-moment things. I guess at least one week of motivation is better than nothing. Are you telling me you don’t have a resolution?”

“If it snows this week, so help me god, I will hibernate. I will shut down my restaurant and rich, whiny, Upper West Siders will just have to shut up about it, because I will not dredge myself across New York City streets for snow. No siree! I refuse.” Patty took a sip of his beer, frowning. “I mean, wouldn’t you?”

The mini rant startled a laugh out of Leo but an agreeable grin still spread across her face. “Dude, yeah. Until I got used to the snow, half the time I didn’t even go to work when it snowed too hard ‘cause I didn’t know how to deal with it. If I had a restaurant, I’d shut it down so fast on a snow day.”

Hearing the door all Joey could Do was smirk. Leo was in for a treat, one of many. She missed her best friend, the both of them had been crazy working so having Leo over has been sparse and she wanted to of course change that. Walking out of her room she looked over at the woman. Pressing her back against the door frame she whistled to her. “It’s been a long ass while since I’ve seen you around here officer..” smirking as she slowly untied the robe. “How about we do a full body search??” Trailing off as she opened up the robe as she reviled the red lace under the silk robe and just looked at Leo with a shit eating smirk. “Or am I going to have to call someone else??”

Leo’s pleased smile when it came to seeing her best friend grew into a full blown grin as soon as she realized what was happening. “That’s so cheesy,” she muttered, unable to resist teasing her even if her words worked like a charm. “How about you march yourself right back to your room, make yourself comfy, and I’ll be right in?”

Adrien definitely had a handful as he balanced a tray of four hot drinks in one hand, the keys to the closing coffeeshop in the other. He juggled with them to try and get the door locked up, double checking through the big window that all the lights were shut off. He was still wearing his apron, hair tied back from finishing with cleaning. He turned around to head out after a long day and nearly walked right into someone. “Ohhh holy shit, you scared me.” He laughed, shaking his head. “Can you even imagine these 4 drinks all dropping at once? What a travesty. That would make anyone’s day go from great to fucking terrible.” 

Leo figured she could stride right by him before he moved, was even ready to swerve around him when he turned around at the last second and she swayed to make sure she was out of the way. “Oh, shit, I’m-” but he was laughing, and so Leo swallowed her apology with a lopsided grin. “What? I personally love scalding hot coffee dumped on me,” she laughed, shoving her hands in her pockets. “The more the better. Four of ‘em? My whole month woulda been made.”

Akeena let out a small laugh and nodded, “yes it does! Plus, I think winter clothes are really cute so that makes it even better” she said. She then sighed a little, “I got all my boxes of Christmas decorations out, but that was like a week ago so I’ve just been staring at the boxes since then” she said with another small laugh, “I’m hoping to get to it this weekend though. Aw I’ll just come over and decorate your place for you then” she said, “I say that yet I haven’t even touched my decorations”

Leo flashed a lopsided grin. “I’ve got my dinky little tree up and I’ve got some Christmas lights in my room for ambiance but that’s about it. My mom would have a shit fit if she knew I was taking so long to decorate,” she admitted, warmth spreading through her chest at the memory of spending Christmas with her mother. “Honestly? Don’t tempt me, ‘cause then I’d have to get you to come right back over and take ‘em all down for me too.”

“I’m really glad my body decided to stop hating me so much so I could come home in time for the city to start decorating for Christmas” the blonde commented as he looked out the cafe window at some of the decorations on the street. “New York really is beautiful this time of year, don’t you think?” she asked as she looked back at the person sitting across from her.

"Oh yeah. It makes freezing my ass off in winter worth it,” Leo agreed without hesitation. “Have you decorated your place or anything? It feels like I never have time to.” When she wasn’t working, she was sleeping—at least that was what it seemed like.

“You know, I thought about going into law enforcement for a while. Part of my whole drive to help people but I wouldn’t pass the tests with my PTSD and bipolar disorder. So I’ll just have to live through your stories.” Delilah chuckled, nodding her head enthusiastically. “If you ever need a change of scenery, you’re always welcome at Artemis. Us ladykillers gotta stick together, yeah? Duh. I was raised in Australia, not under a rock. Cheesy bread is everything. Are you against stuffed crust?”

“I wanted to be a cop for as long as I can remember,” Leo admitted. “In the end, I kind of... hesitated? With everything going on, all the racism in law enforcement, I didn’t wanna work with people like that. I still went through with it though, ‘cause I figured one more gay Asian lady cop could make a difference.” It was maybe a little strange being open right off the bat, but Joey and Max both knew Delilah and with Delilah’s own honesty, it was easy to fall into it. “Actually, one of my buddies dipped out of the program to do her own thing at Artemis. I’ve been thinking about it,” she admitted. “What kind of monster is against stuffed crust?”

“Wow. Alright, I see why Joey likes you so much,” Delilah smiled crookedly. “You’re in good company then. I demolish whole pizzas on my own like they’re going out of style. I own a gym just so I can eat as much pizza and sweets as I do.” She laughed. “Game on.”

"I’m part of the volunteer fitness program in my department only ‘cause I know I can eat three times my weight in food and I don’t plan on not being able to chase baddies any time soon.” Leo scrunched up her nose at the very idea. “We need cheesy bread to go with it though. You can’t have pizza without a nice cheesy bread appetizer, y’know?”

“Hey! Thanks for waiting, mate, I’m so sorry about that,” Delilah smiled apologetically. She hadn’t been out in public long but it seemed like no time that fans were spotting her and asking for autographs. Who was Delilah to turn them away when they had given her everything she had ever dreamed of? Still embarrassed over the spectacle, she asked,  “Are you in the mood for pizza? I’ll pay. Least I can do for making you wait.”

"No, dude, it’s totally cool. First of all, I’m always in the mood for pizza. Second, you’re not paying all on your own. I’ve waited longer for worse.” Leo offered up a grin, trying her best to appease any guilt. “Third, I’m an absolute goddamn unit who will eat half a pizza easy. You’re gonna be lucky if you get any.”

having leo come over was always something joey looked forward too. she knew the girl for so long but halloween she loved playing up leo’s cop card. getting ready she pulled on some nice red lace and then threw on a silk robe. very cliche but fuck it was fun every once in a while to do so. walking out into her living room she finished the joint she had already rolled. her hair was down, wavy but down just the way she liked it. looking down at herself she then tied the belt but made it a little loose at the top as she waited for the other woman. @leoxnanto

As usual when it came to going over to Joey’s, Leo let herself in as soon as she got there—this was the first time in a while, it felt like, that she hadn’t come over right after work. It was almost strange not immediately making a beeline for Joey’s room to find herself something to change into. “Babe, I’m here!” She called out, shrugging her jacket off and hanging it up once she had her shoes off.

“Can I say both? I’m gonna say both.”

“So, I don’t really do the Halloween thing, but….one of my co-workers does, and she gave me all of this left over candy,” she said, giggling, taking a bite of her piece, before pushing the bucket over to the person with her. “Please, please, take some of it off my hands. You don’t want to see me full of sugar. I’m active enough as it is.”

“God, dude no- no way, I’ve got way too much of my own leftover candy. You made your bed, now you’re gonna have to lie in it.” Leo cracked a lighthearted grin. “The people I work with are totally sick of me. Not just ‘cause of the sugar but wrappers? All over my desk. Bowl of mini chocolate bars? On my desk. Everyone else? Getting distracted from work to stuff their face with me. It’s a disaster.”

“So I think we all know by now I don’t really do social interactions or parties very well at all.” She laughed nervously as she rubbed the back of her neck. “B-But I heard about this karaoke bar, and you can like rent your own room and I don’t know, it kinda sounded like fun to me. Would you um…would you maybe wanna come with me?” Robbie secretly loved singing, but she wasn’t confident enough to share her voice with anyone really. 

“Dude, I fucking love karaoke.” The sound of hesitancy only made Leo want to be more encouraging—if Robbie wanted to share some other part of her, Leo was happy to be her hype girl. “I dig it, I’m down. My voice is gonna be trashed by the end of this.”
