“Feel like it’s a little unfair to call it a competition when I’m around, y’know,” Cameron joked, a lazy grin on his face as he sipped on a margarita. “Everyone knows I’m the slickest rapper NYADA has ever seen. I’ve got bars, son. And I’m gunna get free drinks at this bar, son. Cheer for me when I win, okay? Make some good noise.”

“Might have to turn it into a rap battle, man.” Leo retorted. “I might be a piano man, but you ain’t seen me when Kanye is on.” He took a moment to look around. “Though I don’t think we’ll be hearing any Kanye around here, so maybe I’ll stick to my Billy Joel impersonation.”

“I can’t believe I was convinced to come tonight,” Clara said, walking into Callbacks. Tonight had been the closing night of her newest play, Crosswalks, and rumor had it that producers from Playwrights Horizon had been in the audience. Clara was on cloud nine, which was the only reason she could be so readily manipulated into humiliating herself. “I’m a writer, I don’t go on stage. I’m going to need a drink.” 

“The last I remember, you do a great monologue.” Leo laughed, inadvertently intercepting Clara as she entered. “Remember the Shakespeare night you did in high school? I think you had to, for class credit, but it still counts!” 

Not right now, but never say never.

Leo’s already a nickname, but I’ll also accept ‘Your Highness’.

Snakes. I swear I saw a snake in Central Park once, but no one believes me.

Someone sweet, smart, but doesn’t take themselves too seriously, someone who laughs at my jokes, doesn’t try to change me and knows how to have fun.
