you looked at yourself in the mirror this morning, in a sports bra and underwear, noticing a slight pudge on your belly like it personally came to make you suffer. you frowned at your belly.
leon was leaning by the doorframe, crossing his arms as if heโd seen this a million times over, each and every morning.
"leon, iโm gaining weight againโฆ" you mumbled sadly. you were often insecure about that, and constantly thinking whether leon would leave you to be with some hotter chick, but he always made you feel otherwise.
leon sighed and went over to you, wrapping his arms around your waist and rubbing his stubbled cheek against the curve of your neck. "you think i care about that weight crap?" he asked, running his hand over your pudge belly. you didnโt answer.
"i didnโt choose you just because youโre hot, though you really are, but because youโre you. youโre the one that decided to stay with me through it all. even when we fought, i still love you will all my heart." he kissed your neck, travelling up to your jaw. "thatโs why i chose you as my wife." he said.
"but iโm still gaining weightโฆ" you said under your breath, but leon didnโt have ass hearing for someone his age. "good. it means youโre healthy." he reasoned, but you thought otherwise. "but i checked myself on the scale, and i gained 6lbs in a week!"
leon didnโt care though, and he smiled, holding you tighter. "doesnโt mean youโre overweight, just means i have more wife to love."

"MEU AMOR, ARE YOU ASLEEP?" he whispered, resting his cheek on the pillow while he had another arm wrapped under it. "yeah, about toโฆ" you yawned as you spoke, stretching your legs before turning to face him. his eyes were half lidded, staring at just how perfect you are in this moment. "mm, tired?" he asked, scooting closer. "long day, sweetheart. go to sleep, okay?" you ordered with a soft voice.
you kissed his forehead and bade him goodnight, but it was clear that he wasnโt done talking yet. with you, he blabbers a lot more about his day, even if your ears are falling off. though somehow, you canโt find it in your heart to tell him to shut up.
"you know today, the guys and i were talking about the recent case in Wyoming. โparently the guy was gay, and some dudes beat him and tied him till he died ofโฆ head injuries." his hand was on your waist, rubbing his thumb on your skin. "donโt get why people are so mean about something that isnโt that deep. love is love, you know?" he looked up. you hummed. "yeah, donโt get it eitherโฆ" you yawned.
you were trying your best to listen, but you were really tired. "itโs crazy how people are soโฆ so not able to accept loving the same sex. โs stupidโฆ" he murmured. "mhm, can you sleep now?" you asked groggily. "canโt keep up with you anymoreโฆ" carlos did not look guilty at all. "then iโll lull you with my voice. sleeeeepโฆ" he attempted to sing you to sleep, but you laughed and flicked his forehead. "alright, alright. iโll stay up."
"mm, i forgot to tell you that the sink had something wrongโฆ fixed it this morning." he mentioned. "oh, is that why is sounded all squeaky when the water was running?" you tilted your head to the side, and he nodded. "mhmโฆ can i get a thank you?" he asked, rather politely. "thank you, carlos. good job." you smiled and kissed his cheek.
an hour passed, you werenโt able to keep up with him anymore.
"mm, i love you so much [name]โฆ" he whispered, holding you tighter. "iโm so glad i could have someone like you."
then he kept rambling about how much he loved you, blah blah blah.
"โฆโm gonna marry you someday." he said, kissing your cheek. he reached out for your left hand, staring at your ring finger with awe. "gonna put the prettiest ring on you, dunno if i can afford it, but i will." he vowed.
you were trying your best not to smile.
carlos snuggled closer to you, mumbling about loving you forever until he slept too.
the next day, you had to try your best to stay nonchalant.

"do i look good, leon?" you asked, fixing your hair and adjusting your necklace. he hadnโt spoken in a long while, and you were beginning to worry if he didnโt like it or not.
"leon? hello?" your brows furrowed when you didnโt hear a response. then you turned your head, and leon looked absolutely lovestruck.
his eyes were wide, cheeks pink and his mouth almost curved up to a smile. suddenly, he felt nervous. you laughed at his expression, cupping his cheek. "hey, are you okay, sweetheart?" you asked.
your touch mustโve somehow woken him up. "uh- uh, yeah, yeah. i, uh, iโm goodโฆ okay. yeah." he blurted suddenly. "do i look good for our date tonight, leon?" you repeated. he gulped, trying to not space out and admire. "god, you look more than good," he said, steadying his voice.
his arms wrapped around your waist, pulling you close just for him to kiss your neck. you barely heard him say how lucky he was to have someone as beautiful as you.
he cleared his throat and pulled away. he had a habit of going too far, and the last time he kissed your neck, you both ended up missing the dinner reservation.
"so, uh, are you ready to go?" he looked at you, wanting your validation. "yeah, definitely." you nodded, smiling. but leon didnโt move. he continued to stare at you like you were the only thing holding his universe together.
you see him after a week of radio silence, the ring on his finger glinting under ambulance lights.
a week of no calls, no texts, not even a warning beforehand. it was easy to say that you wanted to tie him up and hit his sides, or cut his balls.
"maโam, you cannot be hereโ" a poor medic tried to stop you, but you shoved him away, clearly enraged.
leon could feel it. the way the air changed and almost smelled like you in your expensive perfume. he was in trouble.
"you!" you said loudly. he turned, pretending not to hear you. even if he was in something as prestigious as the dso, leon was still scared of you. he didnโt even know why he was trying to pretend that you werenโt mad.
"leon, you look at me or i am leaving you right here." his head shot up as soon as you spoke, you were glad the threat worked beautifully. "okay, love, listenโ" he tried to reason, but you werenโt having it. "no, you listen to me, mr. kennedy," you interrupted. his lips pursed shut. "who do you think you are, thinking that you could suddenly leave with no words, no plans, not even a warning in advance?!" you shouted, even the paramedics were looking at leon worriedly.
leon tried to glance at one of the people walking around, but you caught his attention immediately. "no. you are not looking anywhere else except my eyes, do you understand me?" you were clearly mad, leon was extremely aroused by your authority over him.
he gulped, "yes, maโam."
leon had no choice but to listen despite the haze fogging his mind. he found you hot when you were angry.
i was studying and finishing exams, and at the same time, hang out with a friend that would move away to another country, and grieve another due to suicide.
june is a fucked up month for me and idk if i can continue writing for now. iโve been overwhelmed with not writing for a while and i feel bad that it has been so empty for you all, iโm really sorry for this sudden hiatus, but i hope that you will all take it kindly or respectfully.
