ART101 Art Practice & Visual Literacies

Eye studies. My goal is to do 100 eyes in line, then 100 painted. And then move on to noses, mouths/lips, hands, etc. and do the same.

Practising blending and colour mixing in Photoshop. Worksheet taken from Matt Kohr’s digital painting tutorial, ctrl+paint. The exercise basically consists of only colour picking from colours A and C in order to create B and the colours in between.

5-min studies using http://artists.pixelovely.com/practice-tools/figure-drawing/. Need to practise male anatomy more, as well as longer drawings; I’m used to drawing super quickly for 30-60s poses. Found a new brush that I really like though. Probably gonna use that as my default for gestures.
