It started quietly.
A long truce. A new world. The Saja boys, once feared, now worked among huntrix—guiding souls gently rather than taking them. After the major battle between the two groups and your father he finally allowed you to surface to the human world. Helping the honmoon stay in constant peace.
And somewhere in that slow, strange peace, you fell in love.
Not with a prince.
Not with a politician.
But with Baby Saja.
He wasn’t the loudest in the room. Not anymore.
He didn’t openly flirt with you in front of others. or at least he thought he didn't. He didn’t need to. Baby had nothing to prove, only something to give.

You made a report on how the meeting went to your father, standing in front of him in all of his firey glory, and, being the little petty descendant you were, you decided to tell him about the one of the council chairs who yelled at you, knowing there would be consequences to come to anyone who treated you with despicable intent. In your explanation you subconsciously mentioned baby and instead of getting the response you wanted, Gwi-Ma had interrupted your rambling.
“So that’s why your patterns are glowing.”
You blinked.
“Don’t look so surprised,” he added, the pink fire cracking lowly as he spoke in an oddly small voice. “The way he acts around you? It’s not lust. That demon would kill for you, sure—but he’d also fold your laundry.”
before you know it a fat smile has stretched across your face.
“He has.”
“Then I approve.”
"Good"
"But!"
"But?"
all of a sudden baby had appeared next to you, sucking on a cherry lollipop. his expression turned to a slight shock as he realize he wasn't in the same environment he was in a few seconds ago. Once see's your face and the pink glow behind you he immediately straightens his posture in a way you hadn't noticed, but Gwi-Ma certainly did.
“You love my daughter,” he said quietly.
Baby didn’t hesitate. “Yes."
There was a long silence until:
“Good. My girl deserves nothing but the best."
"Yes sir" Baby walked a few steps to where he was now that same half step behind you his hand slinging over extremely low on your waist, he stared at your father like a man on a mission. you could feel your patterns grow warmer. shit.. they were glowing.

Baby nods as Gwi-Ma's voice grew deeper
"You better live up to the expectations boy."
Baby nods once again, it took everything in you to not roll your eyes as you watched your father try his hardest to intimidate him, the purple behind the pink grew larger.

Abby raised a brow and smirked. “Can’t believe the one who used to make soul collectors cry now sends you snacks during debriefs.” he didn’t mean it with malice—if anything, it was awe. When Baby showed up at training one day with your tumblr already filled, abs just shook his head. “Must be love.”
Romance looked shocked for all of ten seconds, then broke into a lazy smile. “Makes sense. He used to just glare at people. Now he glares harder when they look at you.”

Out of all of them, Jinu was the hardest to read. Quiet, observant. He once stopped you on a simple patrol around your father's district.

Sometimes—sometimes— at important meetings (in which you brung Baby for emotional support and besides.. who's gonna say anything about him?) Baby’s fingers would settle dangerously high on you thigh underneath the table and you’d feel your heart trip over itself, trying your hardest to not smother his hand in between.
Sometimes, he’d randomly lean down when your in a middle of a conversation and murmur against your jaw, “you look so beautiful sweets” just to see you reaction when people ask why your patterns are glowing.
and on nights when you couldn’t sleep, when your thoughts got entirely to loud and your blood ran hot—
He was there.
Pushing your hair out of your face. Lifting you onto his lap. Mouth at your ear.
Distracting you.
“You’re safe. I’m right here.”
He kissed you like he didn’t know how to let go.

When you woke up tangled in sheets and limbs and the scent of him still wrapped around your skin, you realized something:

"You looked too good tonight,” he murmured finally.
You raised a brow. “That a complaint?”
“No.” His voice was low now, rough with restraint. “That’s me tellin’ you I almost lost it when you bit your lip at dinner.”
You laughed—but it hitched halfway through. Because he stepped closer. Closed the door behind him. And you were suddenly aware of how warm the room was. How quiet.
How alone.
“Let me touch you?” he asked. Simple. Raw.
Your breath caught. “You don’t need to ask.”
“I always will,” he said. “Because I remember what it’s like to be a monster.”
You walked toward him, chest tight. “You’re not.”
“I was,” he said, voice quieter now. “I was something no one could love. But you…”
His fingers brushed your jaw. Gentle. Reverent.

You pulled him into you, and it wasn’t rushed. It never was. Baby didn’t take—he gave. Every kiss wasn't a question. Every touch, an offering. You guided his hands, but he already knew the map of you by heart.

Later, curled into his naked chest, his heart a steady beat under your ear, he murmured something so quiet you almost missed it.
“I’d give up everything if it meant waking up next to you every day.”
You lifted your head immediately. “Don’t.”
He blinked.
You smiled, straddling him as he lay flat, you trace the curve of his jaw with his finger until landing on the underside, tilting his chin up for eye contact. “You’re still you. Demon, idol, protector… all of it. And I want every part.”
His eyes softened—wide and open and full of something that might’ve been awe.
“You make me feel human,” he said.
You kissed his cheek, then his lips. “You make me feel invincible.”

I would like to ask the general opinion of the LOTR community on Tumblr about WOTR. Do people like or hate it? Personally, I actually really liked the movie. I loved the characters, genuinely made me tear up when Hama died because he was my favorite, and although the beginning of the movie was a little slow, it more than made up for it with the rest of the movie.
My only real complaint about the movie was that I would love to see more of Helm and his family just so that their deaths would hit me even more.
