after a night spent at anastasia’s and despite the huge purple mark underneath her eye, thailita was feeling slightly better about the impending doom also known as her life. and so, after driving stas to work, she ventured stealthily back to her house – a move that didn’t need to be all that stealth, seeing as no one was home – and packed a suitcase full of her things. she hadn’t even texted lena about the situation, let alone told her she was planning on staying with her for a while, but it didn’t matter. the two practically lived together as teenagers, lena probably wouldn’t even be surprised to see her at her door – the only surprising thing being how bruised and battered she was. it was a small distance between their homes, and before she knew it she was knocking on the door and being met with the brunettes face. smiling meekly at her, she gestured sheepishly towards her luggage. ‘ any room at the inn ? ‘
the brunette had been happily playing with her daughter, chasing her around their now empty house ava’s giggles now bouncing off the walls of the usually silent house. it was a nice change, a good change it made her feel less lonely having her daughter around was giving her a reason to try and find the girl she’d been all those years ago because that was the girl who she knew her baby would be proud of. when the doorbell rang she quickly walked towards it. “ i’ll get it! “ she yelled so that linda could hear her and once she did doe eyes were met with the chestnut eyes of her best friend. a look of dramatic surprise was on her features, but that’s just who they were. always dramatic. nodding she stepped aside, studying thai in an attempt to figure out what happened without even asking. “ your dad? “ she questioned softly only to feel a soft tug on her shirt and she looked down. right, she hadn’t... thai hadn’t met ava. picking her up, lena kissed the top of the little girl’s head before looking at her best friend. “ surprise you’re an aunt? “ she gestured awkwardly before scrunching up her nose. “ long story, which i’ll tell you later. first things first... let’s tend to that eye and you can tell me what happened okay? “
