I have a broad or more generalised question Gina, what does a crisis management team do, have we seen it happen before with any celebrity, and if you want to share what do you think the crisis management team might do regarding harry's situation?
So, their job description is in the title. But in this case, it refers to responding to and recovering from a crisis situation that threatens business continuity, reputation, image, etc. Harry Styles is a brand that's worth a shit ton of money. If they've hired a CM team, they feel that brand is at risk (ie: they're at risk of losing money).
As for what they might do, I would guess by tomorrow (Thursday at the latest) we'll see more push back in the media with headlines that look like they're from his side. He's already been pulled back from fan service. I'd expect that to continue, and we'll be told he's busy with rehearsals.
Their main focus would be on getting him out of this situation, then making sure any backlash that might happen falls on her as much as possible.
They might push articles that say the ring is part of her brand deal with Jessica McCormack, and they hoped that by not responding, the rumors would go away, but now they have to admit it's not an engagement. If she pushes her luck any further, she'll get her ass handed to her. If we're lucky, we might get a break-up out of this and not have to see them together again.
As my friend who's in that line of business said to me:
"Harry may get bruised up a little from this, but with the firm they've hired, she will be lucky to just come out bleeding. If there's blame to assign, they won't hesitate to pin it on her. In the world of CM, the best firm wins the war, and she can't afford that type of army."
I asked them what they meant by H being "bruised." They don't work with H, so this is just their best guess.
"He may have to accept the accusation of not being aware of what is being said about him and being a pushover, scared to stand up for himself and correct the lies and rumors."
Which, probably, is the truth, anyway.
So... I guess we just wait and see. But it seems to me that she's pushed things too far, and finally, Harry's team acknowledged it.
