OK omg i was originally designing a guy, however my hands slipped. plus, i always have more fun designing female characters

they were originally gonna belong to a new diff division, however 1.) i'm too lazy to come up with two more members and 2.) having her in the party of words is more interesting to me (I LOVE CHUOHKU'S COLOR SCHEME !!!)

It's only after i designed them that i realized.... they look like a yamada ......... just without the heterochromia

this is rei's older cousin now, sure. but i like the idea that they act more like siblings, aka her constantly getting ragebaited by her annoying smarter younger relative, aka the jiro and saburo's dynamic all over again

yoshida is a pretty common japanese last name like yamada. yamada means mountain rice field, so i chose a surname that sounds similar and means something similar (yoshida can be interpreted as lucky rice field)

they want to treat the yamadalings as her nephews, even though they're technically also cousins

key word is WANT. as she works under the party of words, i don't think the yamadalings would want her around (just like rei 😭)

in contrast to ichijiku being pretty mean to ramuda (to put it lightly), i like the idea of hatsuko being more fond of ramuda and giving him more candy every now and then whenever kotonohatoh isn't looking

there's honestly A LOT more i want to ramble about, but there's also a lot of stuff i haven't figured out yet (why she's in the party of words in the first place, the full scope of their personality, etc.). if anyone wants to know anything particular about her, i'd love to answer :))
