Hello, July. I'm not really quite sure if I'm happy you've arrived. This time, last year, I would be found ecstatic, bouncing with joy as my 18th birthday soon approaches, but now, as my 19th is coming, not a trace of that fervent joy is found.

Ever since, I have gotten some kind of liking of the number "19", since that's the day of my birthday, so I told myself that I'd want to make my 19th birthday also somewhat special even if it isn't as festive as my 18th. Hurrah turning 19 on the 19th! Gets? But I guess it won't turn out to be that way this year. Good bye, expectations.

Know why? It all started when UP Diliman finally approved of the Academic Calendar Shift. Know what that means? I'll be having my birthday during vacation. Know what else that means? Lesser chance to get to spend it with my friends. I don't mind spending it with my family, but, uhh, can't I get to spend it with both?

Milky Moustache

My siblings and I rarely get to spend time together anymore. Now that we finally got a chance to be together, we headed off as far as we could! Supposedly, we were to just stay at Starbucks for my sister to catch up on some studying, but then I remember my friend, Vern, suggesting a place (thanks Vern!), so off to Betterliving we went, in search for Milky Moustache!

The place is great! A petite hub where you can study. Wifi is available and you can even plug in your electronic devices to charge. The drinks are also good! We ordered a Speculous Crunchy Cookie Butter milkshake and their strawberry houseblend iced tea.

How do I get there?

For those with a car, drive until SM Bicutan (this should be an easy landmark) then turn into Dona Soledad avenue. From here just go straight, follow the main road. As you reach Mercury Drug at Russia St., turn left, then just a few meters ahead, you'll see Milky Moustache on your right.

For those taking public transpo, ride to SM Bicutan. From there, you can ride a tricycle to Milky Moustache.

Loving someone is as much as handing him your heart right in the palm of his hands. Your heart leaves its premises from your chest and lands right into those palms of his. You leave it there hoping that he'll protect it as gently as a mother would to her newborn child, ready to give it all her love just so she's sure that the child is perfectly safe there in her arms.

Sadly, love doesn't work that way. It isn't an instant give-and-take bargain. When things come to worst, it'll turn out unrequited. Yet even if you are aware of the unrequited nature of your love, you still keep holding on to the hope that he will still keep hold of your heart.

He stands there with your heart in his hands. Maybe he's just a few inches away or maybe he's miles away, but this doesn't make a difference. His love for you radiates, penetrating the distance, through the way he cradles your heart. If he handles it with utmost care, your chest feels as light as a feather, as though your worries have fluttered away.

But when love is unrequited, you'd barely have a say as to how his hold on your heart will be. His grasp could be too tight and, in your chest, you can feel his clench. Sometimes, tight enough to make your intake of breath rapid and enough to bring tears to your eyes. If not tight, it could be loose, loose enough for it to slip through his fingers without him giving a thought or two about it. As he releases his grasp from your heart, it falls and hits the surface with a clatter, dividing it into a million little pieces.

I think Joyce Pring is too pretty compared to me :(

The Aspen x Leiny Project ♥

I was so impulsive and hyper last night that I asked Aspen to have a semi-spontaneous mini photo shoot with me today (kapal ng mukha ko)! Hihi. And since we found out that our breaks during Tuesday and Thursday were the same, we're planning to make it a weekly or every other week thing. Hurrah! Something to look forward to every week ♥

When you stay in Japan, you gotta dress for Japan. Haha. If not, you'll find yourself feeling conscious about what you're wearing. With everyone else looking fashionable and all dressed up around you. Also, the temperature is a great factor. Layers, layers, layers!

Well, what I'm wearing in the photo obviously has no layers. Haha. Tiis ganda lang ang peg. Oh well. Nakasurvive naman ako. :))

*sigh* I hope I get the chance to go back to that wonderful country ♥

Confessions Over Coffee

It's been a while since I last posted about this amazing fella. Well, I have valid reasons (somehow). 1. We meet only once to thrice a week. 2. I rarely post anything here at all. HAHA.

It's funny how he looks so matured and formal while I look the exact opposite, childish. And those aren't the only opposite traits that we have. Hurrah for the saying "opposites attract"!

We have a thing for coffee shops. Don't judge us. Haha. Our reason? It's the only place where one is acceptable to sleep (well, not really) or a place where you can buy just one thing and stay for hours. For people like us who rarely meet, we make the most out of it, of course. No wonder coffee shops are where we usually get to know most about each other ♥

February is just around the corner.

For singles, don't worry, he or she will come soon. Don't be so bitter about it.

{ hiatus }

I feel like my younger self will utterly be disappointed if she finds out what I have become to be. Before, I swore to myself that I will never stop expressing myself and sharing my thoughts and adventures with others, especially once I have stepped into college. Boy, I was excited that college would be an opportunity for me to go out more, have more adventures, and of course, have more to share! But boy was I wrong.

Being a college student seems like a piece of cake, but it's an entirely different story once you're in it. It has stripped me of my blogging time and, also, confidence in myself. I feel like every single day that passes, I become more and more of a failure. I try not to be, but I guess it will take more than just trying to do the trick.

I never knew that digging up conversations and memories from the past through online documentations could make "change" look, well, scary... One moment you're happy, then the next, you're grumpy. Ugh. And weird pala nila basahin pag hindi mo alam yung nangyayari beyond those words. It's so scary that it makes me tear up. Ugh.

HIHIHI PANDAAA ♥ I took this photo during our trip to Japan last summer. We were just walking on the streets when suddenly this Japanese man walked by with a giant panda in tow! Hihihi it was such a lovely thing to see, indeed!

Super duper late post that might even qualify as a throwback! The following photos are from a photoshoot that I had with a friend of mine and amazing Tumblr blogger (naks), Mica. Some of you may know her as lostphotographs. 

Photos were took during the last day of November last year (sabi sa inyo throwback na eh hahaha) at the park in our subdivision. 

We did the shoot with my sister, ate Lea ♥ (which explains the photos with me and Mica together hihi)

I actually miss having mini shoots like this one and.. I miss Mica :( (yiieee!)
