I thought the Sikwate tasted a bit sour—turns out that's actually how it should taste like. Apart from the natural fruity flavor profile of the beans, fermentation produces lactic and acetic acids. Traditional tablea is so minimally processed it skips conching (evaporation of these acids under long and continuous heating), and uses raw, unrefined cocoa mass as is.
The bibingka was good as well, although the langka flavor was too subtle.
All in all, I'm glad got to nerd out a bit eme.

Kaz Korean Dessert Café
After the Forum on Forensics last Wednesday, we found ourselves stress eating at Kaz Korean Dessert Café. Choco Brownie and Berry Cheese Bing-Su were heaven, people!

Halos matunaw pa naman yung bing-su sa tagal kong maghanap ng tamang anggulo dahil ang #TryingHard ko. Haha. Nvm the pizza. Binitbit lang yan galing Greenwich.
Cupcakes were P60.00 each but we got it for free.
The place lacks Korean Vibe tho. The interior design was more European-ish, I guess? But will definitely come back for the fluffy looking cheese cake and other Bing-Su flavors next time.

Les frondaisons de la Place de Lenche où je suis allé au resto, au Sole, déguster une excellente soupe aux champignons (avec de la mousse de burrata) puis du poulpe à la sauce au poivre (et encore un peu -trop ? - de cette mousse à la burrata). Non loin, juste à côté des ruelles du quartier Saint-Jean, l'entrée en mosaïques modernes d'un des grands immeubles de Saint-Laurent.
