She silently grinned and flunged the blanket over him and patted his head before turning back and taking the medicine in her hands, pouring a small cup of the syrup. “ You’re going to need to drink this and rest. I’ll also get you a bucket if you need it.”

She sat the cup onto of the side table, right next to Nathan as she also took a look in the closet, in search of the bucket while humming a small tune in her head while things were shuffled to the side. “it seems like everyone is getting sick this time of year, right before the holidays too..”

“Oh come on, love.” He offered her a smile. “Surely I can and you don’t look heavy to me. Come on. Jump on my back.”

She stared for a moment before shrugging her shoulder with a grin. Leilah then boarded onto Nathan’s back while holding on to his shoulders. Hoping he wasn’t too heavy for him.

He smiled before standing up straight. “See love. You’re not heavy. Now, let’s head back to the base, yes? Your feet must be tired.”

She buckled her legs onto him to make sure she wasn’t going to falloff as her arms held each over around his neck. The nurse giggled- “You’re too much of a gentleman!”

“Now, now. You have a rather high temperature Nathan! .. Oh and yes please take care of that but afterwards you need to be in bed ASAP.”  She snapped her fingers while also putting the thermometer back into it’s drawer.

“I-Excuse me!” He rushed out from his room and ran for the bathroom and retched in the toilet bowl.

While waiting for the other to finish his business in the bathroom, Leilah went ahead and fished a nice thick blanket out of one of the cubbards as she was searching around the room for medication.

When he was finally done, he slowly dragged himself back to his room, lack of energy to protest or anything. He just flopped himself on his bed and lay there. “Ok…you win, love.”
