{ ** &.** VICTOIRE: CONT. FROM ( X· ) ! ** }
she’s always been the image of punctuality . always . but the capacity of the st . mungo’s is at an all time, and unanticipated high, and she isn’t capable of leaving things just as they’re getting bad . so, as time ticks closer and closer to the hour she’s supposed to be meet her sister, she makes the decision to stay behind and arrive minutes late . if only for the poor patient gripping her hand for comfort . it’s only once she feels like her patient is in good hands that she collects her personal belongings, and clocks out for the rest day . and then, in a flash, she’s at the ministry — and in her sister’s arms .
“ of course i missed you . ” the older sister responds adoringly, laughing at the other's enthusiasm . she holds on for a long time too, only pulling back to look at her face — causing her to instinctively tuck a stray hair behind dominique’s ear when she does . “ sorry i’m late . it’s just — ” she sighs, hoping it’ll fill in the blank . she’s too tired to describe the scene she left behind . “ i could use that drink . ”
“ well you certainly have a funny way of showing it ! ” dominique muses , a small chuckle breaking the air of tension that surrounded the ministry’s lobby as her older sister’s fingers ran through her hair . the whole ordeal sent dominique’s mind into the past , where things were much more simple — before anyone had to worry about all the chaos and pandemonium that had now brought itself to bear upon their world .
“ i was hoping you’d say that , 𝑣𝑖𝑐 ” she paused , allowing her mind to explore the options available to them . “ i see our rascal of a brother decided not to make time for the both of us today . ” the younger blonde finished , a slight grin gracing her face as she grabbed victoire’s hand . while dominique’s caseload had increased exponentially , she was sure that her older sister had much more to deal with on her plate — especially given recent events .
“ only if you’re buying the first one ? ”
