Barrel took one of the pastries out of the bag and looked at it for a moment before taking a bite. “Not bad” He nodded. 

“I know, right? They really know how to make pastries here. And sausage. You know I never thought I’d see Germany. I’m sorry-- who are you? I’m Oswald.”

What the hell is apfelstrudel? 

“It’s like an apple filled pastry-- here, try one.” He held out the open paper bag to him.

He exhaled sharply through his nose again, before he squared himself off again. “No, cos I don’t fuckin’ want you going around thinking you can beat people up, especially when they obviously can’t fight back. That’s just not right,” he said through gritted teeth. “You would have hurt her-- and I’m guessing you’d hurt anybody else if you had the chance too.”

“What’s not to get,” Randall shrugged. “It’s all in the long planning. You can’t just pay attention to now. If you’re not three steps ahead you’ve already lost.”

“Most people don’t long plan though, is the thing. So everybody’s lost.”

“You are fucking--” He pressed his lips together, exhaling through his nose. “Uh, wow, okay, tempting as that is, I’m gonna have to pass, okay.”

“That’s the type of thing Hannibal Lecter says, you realize that?”

“Why not?”

“Because it’s wrong?”

“Nah, bruh, if I was fuckin’ with you, you’d know it.”

“I do have a problem with it! You can’t fucking take their side when they’re threatening people!” The fact that Oswald barely came up to Leroy’s shoulder didn’t seem to deter him from getting short with him. He glared up at him.
