[ getaway ]in the midst of a chase, the car of our muses break down.

[ stalk ] my muse (a detective/a rival criminal) is paid to keep a close eye on your muse (a gangster/a gangster’s significant other/a gangster’s child).

[ work ] your muse works at a business where gangsters frequent. you decide to get closer to my muse, one of the gangsters who come in, to see what really happens in the back.

“  why  can’t  a  GAL  be  nice  to  a  guy  without  some  mook  tryin’  to  murder  her?   ”

     he didn’t have to wait to long. the stalker must’ve figured they had him where they wanted him. which would have been odd had the snowy season did not lessen the traffic on the usually congested block. this part of downtown is typically popping with pedestrian activity. it’s the district that appealed to the middle and the rich because it hosted a bunch of high-end clothing and luxurious jewelry brand stores. 

     it would be a couple of months before his birthday but there has been a particular forty-something thousand dollar watch with pretty diamond and ruby spheres that moved on their own accord around the dial like pinballs, with each walk the wearer took. it was such a icy piece that scream coldblooded. a perfect match for the tastes of floyd lawton. after all the hard work he put in he deserved to splurge a little, and perhaps cop a new pair of shoes for daddy because, that, he needed too. and that’s why he wasn’t about to get laid out and make a bloody snowman on the concrete tonight. 

     when he spun around with the quickness, that’s not the only thing that turned with him. his left arm had dropped a kay jeweler bag and before it hit the end of the corner of the block he reached, his arm snaked into his trench coat to pull his little buddy that tagged along and aimed his reliable 9mm directly at the mystery person’s dome. as the identity was revealed to him, clear shock registered on his face. “ you? ” was he all he could ask. 

    word on the streets was that the fire of this chick was snuffed out and her body was left somewhere in the gutter. it was unreal to a lot of the criminal elements that have grown to respect and admire catwoman. she was elusive, cunning, and kept those nine lives of hers safe. up until someone took all nine and sent her to an unmarked grave. as far as he was concerned, this was a ghost that appeared before him. his gun would do him no good if that’s what this was. “ i’m not for the spooky pet cemetery shit tonight. is you real? ”
