Why cross-play, which affects nothing, is an opt-in feature, while control style, which gives people a huge advantage, isn't, boggles the mind. Being able to tap out an auto combo into a level 3 super is pretty busted. Being able to one-button super whenever you want is demented.

Especially in the lower iron/bronze ranks I'm in where I'm still learning reads and basic counters and suddenly half my life bar gets deleted because some dude was mashing X+R2 or whatever.

I'm all for making the learning curve in fighting games more even and I get that some people have difficulty doing the motions, but sidestepping all of it is going too far. The fact you can still do stuff normally with no damage reduction and still enjoy the auto-combos and 1-button supers when you need it is like knocking you down, then shitting in your mouth. It's like they deliberately made it exploitable.
