Alastor but he's agreed to teach Charlie to cook, and she's finally gotten something right. Alastor but as he looks at her excited face, he is so violently and suddenly reminded of himself when he was a child, making food with his mother, that whatever sarcastic comment he was about to make dies in his throat. Instead, he softens, tells her it's good. Tells her he's proud of her. He's completely taken aback by his own honesty, and Charlie has no clue how to respond to something so appreciated yet unexpected.The atmosphere is awkwardly bittersweet for the rest of the evening. They don't cook together again for a long time after.
