âJust precautions,â Greer said though she was smiling as she rolled her eyes. It was nice of Alecto to reassure her that she would never let anything happen to either of her animals or even her. It was a side of her that she saw more and more lately, and she couldnât help but love it.
She rolled her eyes again, this time at Amycus and she reached over Alecto to push the guy a little, but didnât say anything. Alecto was right, it was late, all three of them were tired as hell, or at least Greer knew she was. Avoiding one particular person on a party that is thrown by that one person and her family is more draining than she ever realized and she wanted nothing more than to sleep and forget the night ever happened.
âAlright, alright, good night,â she said and then spent the next thirty minutes or so trying to find the most comfortable position she could sleep in. The clothes bothered her greatly, though she doubted either of the twins would have liked the idea of her sleeping naked right next to them. It would have been strange as fuck. So, in the end, she settled on her side with her back against the wall as she slowly dozed off to sleep.
Amycus rested his head against Alectoâs back, trying to let the familiar pattern of his sisterâs breathing lull him into sleep. It had been a long fucking day. Seeing Rodolphus, the fight with Evan, the regrettably enjoyable sex with Cattermole of all people, finding Greer, sobbing on Greer, ending his night in her bed⌠just a long fucking day, and he ought to have no problem passing out. Still everything churned over and over in his head. Rodolphusâs careful disinterest, Alâs interest in Greer, Rodolphus walking away, Rodolphus walking away, Rodolphus walking away.Â
It was a long, long time before his brain let him sleep, but eventually he did. Curled up against his sister in a different house and with dogs snoring peacefully nearby, he didnât dream.
Alecto didnât open her eyes again- she felt Greer stir around and Amycus breath heavily against her neck like he was thinking of somethinghard to process- but, she tried not to open her eyes and to ignore them, to sleep it off as sheâd usually want to do. It took her a while to do so though, she couldnât fall asleep until Greer stopped moving and until Amycusâ breath evened, but she felll asleep right after that.
In her sleep, she moved her hands in front of her, searching for a pillow just she did at home- hugging a pillow whenever she needed to. And in her dorm at Hogwarts she has three pillows just for herself. She gently wrapped an arm around Greer and scooted her closer, obviously mistaking her with a pillow. She leaned onto the other more than she leaned onto Amycus, being too caught into her sleep to realise what she was doing.
