It is with profound sadness that I have to let you all know that #mactherottweilerinaz has passed. Those of you who know me also know that he was a codependent big baby. Always at my side and always bursting with personality and panache. He was a rescue dog that @rottenrottie privileged me with back in 2014 shortly after my previous Rottweiler, Emmett, passed. We never knew how old he was or where exactly his life began. He came running out of the desert in California and they picked him up from the Marano Valley animal shelter and brought him back to Phoenix. He had scars, a broken canine and all the earmarks of a dog that had either lived wild or survived being a dogfighting bait dog. Despite that he never showed a lick of viciousness or fear. He lived to please us and was a devoted companion to me and my wife. He was a good brother to our other dogs and a good mentor to #guinnessthepuppy for the 5 months that their lives intersected. It is never easy to say goodbye and our dogs never live long enough. But for the time that he blessed us with his presence we are ever grateful and he will never be forgotten.
