wait, did dylann roof really not have a cell phone the whole time????😳😳😳
He did have a cellphone (it's a Huawei Ascend Plus H881C I think), I'm not sure why he said otherwise during the interrogation. I forget which pictures he took on it but I believe these are two of them(?):

idk if u have posted it but i couldn’t find that journal page(?) where dylann listed his favourite movies
I posted it probably over a month ago on my last blog with a list of all the movies, which I may write out again and add it to this post later. His rambling in the middle:
"I have seen separately 50 [?] films and countless other films. Films hold enormous power. I believe that costume dramas in particular are a good way to make White people proud of their history and physical beauty. I believe only the most beautiful people should be allowed to act. This [?] pride in our race, when we see beautiful specimens of our people. A beautiful person can make a mediocre film wonderful."
He references both Romper Stomper and Himizu on his website and saw Redemption on the day before the shooting
could you tell us about dylanns childhood? and if he had any disorders? (if you have already I apologise)
Dylann's childhood:
Dylann seemed to have a really unstable childhood, and I think a lot of this seems to come from issues between his parents. His parents were not married when he was born, and they weren't exactly sure at first who his father might be. Dylann lived with his mother mostly and moved houses frequently, meaning that he'd sometimes have to switch schools and ended up attending seven different schools in total. These sudden changes were probably really difficult for him considering his autism and social anxiety. Dylann was very socially withdrawn as a child and had difficulty with conversation, when his mother would see him at school, he was always playing alone. When attending family gatherings, he was quiet and uncomfortable. He would always sit alone or speak to his parents or sister. When he was around twelve years old his older sister Amber started to take more care of him. As he got older he became more aware that he was a bit different and became more self-conscious.
He did fairly well in school up until eighth grade, when he switched schools again and his grades started to decline and he seemed to have increasing mental health issues. He failed ninth grade twice, and did slightly better his third time but ended up with a 33% in math. He dropped out of high school after this and ended up getting a GED.
He began doing drugs when he was twelve and in 2009, his parents finally tried to get him some help after he told his mom he was going to kill himself, but since Dylann wasn't very receptive to treatment, his parents seemed to quit trying after a couple months. At this time his anxiety was continuing to get worse and he became more insecure about people looking at him and going out in public. Dylann met Joey Meek, who is considered to be one of his only friends, in 2010 after Dylann's mom asked Joey to be friends with him.
Dylann's disorders: Dylann has autism, but his family didn't try to get any assistance for him as a child, mainly because they were just unaware about the possibility of him having autism. His mother had been concerned about him since he was a child because of his odd behaviors caused by autism and OCD, but was told not to worry about it. His grandparents and older sister were both also concerned about him because he was unusual, awkward, and shy. He also seems to have body dysmorphia, which goes with his hypochondria as most of the problems/insecurities he has are related to his thyroid issue. Probably his biggest insecurity though is his forehead. He would continue to visit doctors a lot because he was worried about having various medical issues, despite being told that doesn't have anything that needs treatment. Dylann at one point also sort of diagnosed himself with schizophrenia after he took an online test, but I have no idea how old he was when this happened. A psychiatrist who evaluated him in December of 2016 wrote that he has psychotic symptoms which include "somatic delusions, transient paranoid ideation, transient grandiose ideation, and periods of thought disorganization". The same psychiatrist diagnosed him with autism, other specified schizophrenia spectrum and other psychotic disorder, other specified anxiety disorder, alcohol use disorder, and Hashimoto's thyroiditis.
This is just a sort of general answer, if you have any other more specific questions feel free to ask ^^
Police response to the Charleston church shooting and Dylann Roof's arrest
After leaving Mother Emanuel AME church at 9:07 p.m. on June 17, 2015, Dylann was surprised to see that no police had shown up to the church, as he later claimed that his plan was to shoot himself when the cops showed up and ultimately chose not to kill himself before he was caught because he “decided that it’s just a bad idea”. Evidence taken from his GPS shows that he traveled for 20 miles along I-26 to Branch AME Church in Summerville, which also holds a bible study every Wednesday night. Dylann did not stop at the church and said in his interrogation that the reason he didn’t go to another church is because he was “worn out”
For several hours, the only description given of Dylann was “younger white male, approximately 5’9”, slender build”, as well as two photos of him entering the church, his ID photo, and two photos taken from facebook. This vague description was what led Austin Rich, a photographer from Charleston who happened to be wearing a similar outfit to Dylann's, to be arrested under the impression that he was the shooter.
From Austin Rich's Facebook: “Tonight as many of you may already know I was detained as a suspect for the shooting that took place on downtown Charleston. I want to assure everyone that I am safe and innocent. I was interviewing strangers at the scene when I was mistaken as the shooter because of my grey t shirt, black pants and tan shoes. I was told to get on the ground with my hands up. I laid on my stomach, gently placing my camera on the ground. The officers rushed over to handcuff me. I told them to please be easy with my camera and gear as they picked me up off the ground. I understand that the officers were simply doing their job and they did it well. I was compliant and escorted across the street, to the Marriott Courtyard Hotel and then questioned. I gave them the details of where I was and who I was with. They asked several questions, checked my phone records and told me I was clear to go. I am thankful for the professionalism of the officers on duty.”
At 10:30 p.m., someone claiming to be the killer called a local TV station to claim that he placed a bomb near the church, which would detonate at 11 p.m. However, when the area was checked, no explosives were found, and investigators were cleared to go back inside by 11:30.
The next morning at 5:50 a.m., Dylann went to a Shell gas station in Charlotte, North Carolina. He used the ATM by the door and went inside to buy a bottle of water and a bag of Doritos. The employees didn’t recognize him and thought of him as just being a “polite, quiet guy”.
A few hours later, a woman named Debbie Dills spotted Dylann’s car while she was on her way to work. She then called her boss, who then called the police, to confirm that it was Dylann. Police quickly caught up to Dylann and pulled him over at a traffic stop in Shelby, North Carolina (Dylann later said that he was on his way to Nashville, Tennessee). He rolled down his window, told the police that the gun was in the backseat, and let the police frisk and handcuff him without resisting. He was finally arrested at 10:44 a.m., 13 hours and 37 minutes after he left the church. He was then brought to the police station, where he would be brought a meal from Burger King after he said he had only eaten the bag of chips he bought that morning (Note: many people claim that Dylann was brought to BK before he was brought to the police station, which is not true. Bringing food to suspects is a very common interrogation technique, often to build rapport.) Shelby police Chief Jeff Ledford said “He was very quiet, very calm. He didn’t talk. He sat down here very quietly. He was not problematic.”
In the hours after Dylann’s arrest, vigils were held for the shooting. Vigils held at Allen Temple AME Church, West End Community Center, and Morris Brown AME Church all had false bomb threats anonymously called in and had to be evacuated.
At 7:28 p.m., Dylann was booked into Al Cannon Detention Center.

Tribute Dylann left on the obituary of Jack Chandler, who he considered to be the only true friend he ever had and previously died in 2013
Dylann's Only Friend
Despite Joey Meek's friends and family all recounting that Joey was Dylann's only friend and that even when around multiple people, he would only talk to Joey, Dylann later called him an "associate" and said that the only true friend he ever had was Jack Chandler. However, because he had died in a car accident two years before the shooting, Jack was never able to recount what it was like being friends with Dylann or how close they really were. Jack's mother Melissa Chandler said that as kids, "Dylann and Jack played cards and threw a football in the yard". Dylann's family members also stated that his only friend was Jack. When Dylann told his mother that Jack was dead, she told him to stop joking, and only ended up believing him after he repeated it. When he saw Jack's mother for the first time after his death, he did not show emotion and only hugged her because he was instructed to by his own mother.
Dylann's relationship with his family leading up to the shooting
Dylann's mother had stopped expecting him to get his drivers license since it took so long, but he eventually got it when he was nineteen or twenty
After losing his job at Clark's for a second time, his mother and her boyfriend decided to cut off internet service
According to Joey Meek, Dylann was jealous of his younger sister Morgan because he felt that she gets everything she wants and that he was not treated the same as his sisters
He also claimed that Dylann was jealous and wanted his sister to drop out of school so she would not be seen as better than him, and that Morgan was rude to Dylann and didn't want him in the house
His older sister Amber stated that his dad would force him to go to family gatherings. At one point she had paid him $40 to get him to go out to dinner with her on his birthday, during which he would eat quickly without talking
Before 2013, he rarely wanted to talk to her, but he later began calling her and "asked odd questions or wanted to talk about strange things". He would also call to ask for money and at one point asked her to buy him a laptop.
In early 2015, a few months after Amber got engaged, Dylann began texting her from different phone numbers pretending to be two different ex-boyfriends of hers
In the month before the shooting, Dylann briefly stayed with the Meeks in their trailer in Red Bank. He was very quiet the entire time he was there, seemed depressed, and didn't want to be there

Night of June 17, 2015
Once Dylann had left the church, he had expected the cops to have already shown up, and had originally planned to shoot himself if they did. There is evidence that after leaving the church, he took Interstate 26 to the Jedburg exit, and went to Branch AME Church, however the evidence of this was GPS data that was not presented at his trial. The supposed evidence shows that Dylann had turned off his GPS for several minutes, and prosecutors had planned to show that was a sign he was contemplating another attack. Just like Mother Emanuel AME Church, Branch also holds a bible study every Wednesday night. However, Dylann's defense attorney David Bruck says the GPS data shows Roof did not stop at the church and sped by at “30 or 40 miles per hour.”
Meanwhile at Mother Emanuel AME church, a police officer attempted to detain an older white man, a photographer who happened to be wearing similar clothes to Dylann. Survivor Polly Shepard was quick to step in and say that wasn't him and that Dylann "looked just like a little child."
At 10:30 p.m., someone claiming to be the killer called a local TV station to claim that he placed a bomb near the church, which would detonate at 11 p.m. However, when the area was checked, no explosives were found, and investigators were cleared to go back inside by 11:30. The next day, more bomb threats were called into various churches holding vigils, but these threats were all false.
