ਨਾਨਕ ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸਿਮਰੀਐ ਤਿਸੁ ਦੇਹੀ ਕਉ ਪਾਲਿ ॥ Nanak take good care of that body which you need for remembering God.

“When you are confronted with terrible hardships, and no one offers you any support, when your friends turn into enemies, and even your relatives have deserted you, and when all support has given way, and all hope has been lost - if you then come to remember the Supreme Lord God, even the hot wind shall not touch you.”

Start seeing God in everything, but keep it a secret.

I once had a thousand desires, but in my one desire to know You, all else melted away.

Those whose minds are filled with the Lord, do not even suffer in their dreams.

“ਤੂੰ ਸਾਜਨੁ ਸੰਗੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਕਾਹੇ ਜੀਅ ਡਰਾਹੀ ॥ You are my Friend and Companion, God; why should my soul be afraid?”

I am a puppet on a string, and such is His control, I tremble at a touch.
