he did his best to refrain from getting choked up at the adorable display as he hugged his daughter back. dean was receiving vivid flashbacks of little aria, clinging to him like this, and it was slowly but surely turning him into a sappy mess. “now’s a good time.”

“Better than never,” he reassured after a moment, throwing his arm around his son.

“Me to you, too,” the hunter mused warmly, pressing a kiss to the angel’s temple.

“I’m shocked. This is my shocked face.”

“Talk to me.”

“Old you.. yeah, we were cool, but that didn’t mean we weren’t a lot of other things too. Right now I’m just trying to say that memories or not, I’ve got your back.”
