What was matt even doing out there at night ? ❝ curiosity truly killed the cat ❞ Alice blurted out the pun . In this case matt being the cat . Anyone who knew her , knows alice could be a tad bit interestingly morbid .

❝ I hope it's not what everyone is going to agree with. ❞ Amelia pressed her lips together in a thin line unsure of what to even believe.

Raising up her shoulders, Amelia wasn't sure because she didn't really talk to many people about it. ❝ I have no idea. I never spoke to anyone about the situation at hand here. ❞

. ❝ ⸻ I'm surprised I even got invited to matty blue's funeral ❞ Katherine raised an eyebrow at the funeral invitation card in her hand with matt's best picture on it . ❝ those blue eyes will be missed ❞ .

❝ Everyone was invited that was close to the family... were you not close? ❞ Amelia questioned as she questioned the woman.

It was disorienting to say the least. Visiting for brief moments had been one thing, but being back, and as himself? Weird. Landon felt overwhelmed as he found himself in the midst of a crowd leading to the town square, and the closer he got, the more he realized why. "You've gotta be kidding," Landon muttered to himself. Of course he made the deal and went home on the date of a town thing. A funeral at that, which had to be some kind of cosmic joke.

❝ I'm sorry, am I supposed to understand? ❞ Amelia questioned at the man who muttered to himself. Part of it was her paranoid mind about herself.

"Did it look anything like this?" Keelin said, finding her message on her phone. "Freya and I got the same one." They had already been on their way to town, but she didn't love it either way.

Looking down to Keelin's phone, Amelia thought her and Nico were the only ones as she was taken back by the news. ❝ Okay.. this is getting really spooky now. What's going on? ❞

Tyler had never really understood why Elena and everyone else seemed to get a kick out of graveyards before. Even with his own parents. But now, with this, it felt different. He had spent more time at Matt's headstone than he ever had at his father's. It didn't feel real. Matt, gone, and this time not coming back. Standing at his gravesite wouldn't change that, but he couldn't bring himself to leave.

For Nico, Amelia was bringing some flowers to the grave site for Matt to show her own respects for his death. ❝ Mr. Lockwood. I didn't realize you would be here. ❞ She spoke with her thick accept.

"Damn. Seems like it's been a while since I have needed to crash in Mystic Falls for a few things," she joked. "How are you doing in town?"

❝ Don't quote me! I don't remember. ❞ She stated with a light laugh. ❝ I'm doing alright. I did get a weird text message though that I meant to bring up with Nico. ❞

He gave an awkward laugh at her words, nodding when she said it was cool. "Well not everything, he might be my best mate but i always liked you better," he teased. "Really hard place for me to be in the middle," he joked.

❝ See, I knew there was a reason why I liked you so much. ❞ Amelia chuckled with her accent thick. ❝ So don't be in the middle, be on the side. ❞ She teased in a joking matter to try and keep the mood light.

"Yeah, it's pretty weird that so many people are returning to town," he said, looking up to Amelia. "Are you and... Nico both back?" He wasn't sure if it was a good idea to ask but figured get the awkward out of the way now.

Her lips went into a thin line about her and Nico before swaying her head side to side. ❝ We're both here right now for everything but not together. We're good though Ace, it's okay. ❞

❝ With everyone coming into town... it's bound to get packed in here. ❞ Amelia spoke as she looked around at all the people.

Location: Mystic Falls outside Mrs Flowers Bed and Breakfast "When did Mrs Flowers bed and breakfast close down?" Keelin signed, looking up at the old building that used to be her and Freya's favorite bed and breakfast to stay at when they passed through town to drop their kids off at the school or visit Hope back in the day. "I don't suppose the hotels are any good in town? I think I am going to need one."

❝ I believe they closed down about two years ago now. ❞ Amelia spoke toward Keelin about the bed and breakfast.
