ââ Okay that thing looks like itâs going to rot right through your teeth. Where can I get one?âÂ
âIt probably will, and honestly, Iâm very willing to let it. Oh, I can show you. That way I can get another one.â
sdelxre:
âI already told you. Just because I put the maze together, does not mean Iâm going to help you get through it.â Savannah noted with a bright laugh, the corn maze they were currently standing it - at a dead end, masking some of the noise from the fair. âCome on, MacGyver, get us outtaâ here.â
âWell, it was worth a shot. Iâve never really been good at finding my way out of mazes, even paper ones.â She commented with a laugh of her own, shifting her gaze around the maze that they stood in. âIf it was up to me, Iâd just push my way through the corn. --- But to play fair, letâs try this way.â She smiled as she turned, heading down a different path --- or so she hoped was different.

âI donât know; Iâm pretty addicted to these things.â Adelaide teased back in good nature. Though to be honest she was more of an herbal tea girl, but when she had to work long nights, tea wasnât going to cut it. âYou work at The Daily Point, correct?â The blonde, asked before she took a sip of her drink. âYou guys always write such lovely articles about my showings at the gallery.â
âYou and me both. I feel I should be attending meetings, but then Iâd have to give it up.â She joked easily, knowing that there would never be a time where she gave up drinking coffee. Or any form of caffeine, really. She worked many long days and nights, and caffeine was a cure all for staying up. âThat I do,â she beamed at the question, her position at the local newspaper very important to her. âAnd while I wish I could take credit for those pieces, I unfortunately donât write them.â
astonxxdelore:
Aston was on his usual prowl of the bars, heâd missed the night life of Salems Point. He took a seat near a brunette who he didnât recognize and caught the tail end of her conversation. âYeah, you know I heard about those.â The witch agreed, sipping his beer. âItâs wild man, who do you thinkâs doing it? This town lives for gossip.â
The moment that the male beside her started speaking, Logan shifted her gaze to him, brows tugged together. âHard to say really. Could be a number of people,â she finally answered, shrugging her shoulders. She was all too aware of the way the town gossiped, as it gave her more than enough insight into what was happening in and around the town. âMakes my job a lot easier when they do.â She grinned now, amused with how much and often people liked to tell her about the events of the town.

Axel knew well what was going on, he knew that it was the men in question, however, why would he allow her to venture into a world she had no business in? It was clear by her curiosity and in the way she spoke about the happenings that she had no idea what was going on behind closed doors, and it was safer for humans that way. They didnât go looking for trouble they didnât know existed. Then again, the hunter in him knew how it helped to be prepared. âNo, I donât. And anyone who thinks otherwise is kidding themselves. Whatâs that saying? â Calm before the storm, right?â He assured her, knowing that this was usually how it all started, only getting worse until the bastards were tracked down. What made it worse is they usually had no idea what was going on at the time. âSo, what you think the âsoot menâ are out to get us? How do you know theyâre not just caught in the crossfire? Pun intended.â
Salemâs Point was a beacon for journalists like her, always eager to get to the bottom of the stories circulating towns. From the random animal attacks to the sporadic fires, Logan was all too interested in what this particular town had to offer. âFair point. It seems a little too --- gentle right now.â She mused with a shrug of her shoulders, eyeing the bottle in her grasp before turning her attention to the man beside her. The soot men; cute, sheâd have to remember that for when she wrote up the next bit of her story. For now, a soft chuckle passed her lips before she released a sigh. âIâve never been one to believe in coincidences. And while one or two men being found at the scenes may not be anything, the amount that have been seems like a cause for alarm. At this point, theyâre the only ties to the fires. And that means, I think they play a major role in why these fires are being started.â
axelluther:
Axel was not about the drop the âSâ bomb on the brunette, there was no way of knowing how much she was aware of in town, hell, or if she even was one of the creatures in question. For now, he was going to play coy. For now. âLike you said, the police released every one of them. And I know theyâre not always the brightest bunch, or Salems Point PD â but still. Iâm not Sherlock Holmes, but Iâd say that weâll find out more when the next round of arson attacks hit.â He wasnât about to let her in on anything he knew as a hunter, or what he had seen in the past when it came to these kinds of attacks. âTell me Nancy Drew, who do you think did it?â
It was common, to hear citizens speak ill or negatively about the police forces. Sheâd heard it time and time again, with a few of them receiving agreement from her. It wasnât that she thought the police incapable of catching criminals or the like, but she found that they didnât always apply the resources that they had, usually causing someone to remain free for longer. This appeared to be one of those times, or so she thought. âSo you donât think theyâll be stopping?â It seemed highly unlikely, given the pattern that was being created. Thumb nail picking at the label on her bottle, Logan rolled her shoulders. âHard to say. Many people are saying itâs kids, but I think it has something to do with these men. Every single fire results in one of these men being found by the scene. That canât be coincidence.â
axelluther:
âWelcome to Salems Point.â Axel muttered matter-of-factly, knowing this was hardly uncommon in the last few months that he had been in town. In fact, if there wasnât a fire in a few days, heâd be genuinely concerned that it was too quiet. âItâs just a case of snagging the motherfucker whoâs doing it before anyone else ends up dead around here.â The male hunter added seconds later, knowing full well there was going to be more blood on these bastards hands soon enough, but he was going to make damn sure it wasnât the humans in the crossfire.
His words caused an intrigue within her, gaze turned upon him as she let them sink in. Curious, always curious. It was one of the main reasons why she had come to Salemâs Point in the first place, and the very reason why she had remained now. âSo --- you donât think itâs the men being found at the scenes? Naked, covered in ash.â She quirked a brow as she turned on the stool, completely facing him now. Raising the beer bottle to her lips, she took a sip before settling it back onto the counter. âThe police released every one of them.â
diazandnights:
âAnother one? Really? This has been happening so much latelyâ he let out a sigh, he wondered if it was happening for the same reason why he was having a harder time to control himself. If it also had to do with that, he wouldnât be surprised at all, he probably by now, wouldnât get surprised by anything anymore.
âAnother one.â She confirmed with a huff, shifting her gaze from the bottle to the male sitting beside her. âThatâs at least one every other night. If it continues at this rate, there wonât be much of a town left.â
ri-bishop:
âFantastic, just fantastic.â Of course this would happen to her. Middle of the night, dead phone and her keys to her motel room dropped somewhere on the ground. With only the light from a street lamp a block away Riley was having rotten luck trying to find them in the dark. She was crouched down, knees in the dirt, hands shuffling around where she thinks they might have landed. âKeys, keys, keys.â She kept mumbling to herself as though that would somehow summon them into her hands.Â
The muttering is what drew her attention, causing Logan to advance towards the other woman. Curiosity always got the better of her, as she stopped just short of the other. âNeed any help?â She questioned after realizing what it was the other was looking for, having done the same thing more than a few times with various items.

charliezmc:
Charlie hated the dark. And it was only natural that her car broke down on the edge of town right as she was getting ready to leave, disheartened and sad. Her cell phone didnât have any service and she felt like a sitting duck in her car, buried under blankets and sweaters to combat the damp, Autumn chilliness that was trying to freeze her to death. She had to make a decision; either stay there and probably get murdered by a serial killer that prowls the woods or try to walk back to town and probably get murdered by a serial killer that prowls the woods. She trembled a little, doing her best not to cry, and finally reached out to unlock the door so she could get out and make the trek back to Salemâs Point.
That night, along with many nights before that, were spent trying to get to the bottom of the story. The fires had a pattern, one that Logan was putting together easily; they all happened in the late hours of the night. Which means that if she wanted to truly know who or why these fires were being started, she would need to spend her nights looking for the culprits, hoping that they would strike again. She wasnât expecting the sudden appearance of the other woman, coming to a complete stop in her tracks. âAre you alright?â She questioned hesitantly, keeping her distance to not frighten the other.
adelaidedelore:
Her cheeks were flushed with embarrassment as she quickly twirled around back to the individual who she just had a fifteen-minute conversation with and who happened to be still holding her soy hazelnut latte. It was one thing to forget to grab a drink due to the crowd of the cafĂŠ in the early morning, but the cafĂŠ wasnât busy, and it was almost in six in the evening. âOh,â Adelaide took her drink with a small smile. âThis is embarrassing⌠Thank  you.â After taking a small sip of her drink, the blonde Delore witch stated, â I swear, Iâm normally not this forgetful.â
The coffee cup was held out, awaiting its proper owner while Logan stood there with a smirk on her lips. She knew what it was like to be distracted enough to forget something like a coffee or latte, especially after having worked long nights and even longer days. âAre you certain about that?â But Logan was only teasing, dropping her hand after having passed over the cup. âDonât worry about it, happens to us all.â
erinxannesley:
âArson, maybe? Probably just some kids with matches trying to cause trouble,â Erin supposed, shrugging her shoulders in an attempt to act as nonchalant as possible before continuing to wipe down the counter. Of course, she was aware that the real reason behind the mysterious blazes had something to do with the supernatural presence in the town. Which species exactly was what she couldnât pinpoint. Probably a pyromaniac witch going a little crazy with the amount of power at his or her fingertips. Despite knowing this information, Erin didnât feel at liberty to divulge the presence of the supernatural to the girl sat in front of her. After all, she wasnât technically part of the community herself; it wasnât her place to reveal the secret. âNeed another drink, hun?â
âSome kids, yeah.â It seemed plausible, that a couple of the local kids had started the fires for fun. But ten of them? And who were the naked men being found at each location? Or why hadnât they been charged for the arson yet? It was just a few of the questions that Logan had regarding the town she was now living in, that she was now working in. Sooner or later, she would get to the bottom of the questions, reach the answers that she so desperately needed for her own self satisfaction and curiosity. âDo these type of things happen often around here?â She questioned while turning her gaze onto the other. âYeah, sure. Thank you.â
anya-valentine:
âTen?â Anyaâs brows lifted in surpriseâ a look she rarely wore. âCanât say Iâm surprised. Bitches be crazy.â She smirked, lifting a glass of whiskey to her lips.
âI believe all the suspects right now are men.â She offered with a soft smirk, a chuckle soon parting her lips.
wvalentine:
âWell, it is fall and kids do stupid shit,â The original vampire plainly said as he took a sip of his beer. He knew the truth behind the fires, though hearing the femaleâs pulse, told him to play stupid. âWanna another one?â His blue eyes flickered to her beer, then to his own knowing that he would at least drink three more before finding something else to occupy his time.
âKids?â There was a disbelieving tone to her voice, Logan not quite seeing the link between the known facts and some local kids. There was the naked men, for starters. She opened her mouth to say more when the question was poised, eyeing her beer bottle before she rolled her shoulders. âI wonât say no to another.â She cast her gaze to the man beside her, brow lifting as she eyed him. âSo you think a group of kids is running around starting fires?â

what gets my muse excited
The one thing that truly gets Logan excited is a good story. Whether that be some story about an old ghost tale, or a juicy bit about an uprising in a third world country, sheâs always eager to get to the bottom of it. That, and cheesy low budget, old school films. Especially the horror ones.
which of the seven deadly sins my muse would be
If Logan were any of the seven deadly sins, it would most certainly be gluttony. The girl could eat a whole pizza to herself if she put her mind to it.
âThereâs been another fire. That marks ten in the last two weeks.â She voiced her thoughts absentmindedly, as if she had no idea they were being spoken out loud. Her fingers twirled the beer bottle, tilted on the edge as she watched it. This was the reason she had stuck around, to uncover who or why these fires continued to happen. And who were these men that continued to show up, naked and covered in soot.Â
