“Well who am I to say you can’t?”

“I can even go for a bribe too if you can tolerate that,” 

“Well I most probably wouldn’t call your advice ‘very’ good,” he teased.

“What would you use? How about ‘the best’ advice? I think that would be a better word now that I think of it.” 

“Lucky for me, I’m very rarely wrong.”

“I have to agree with that one too- goodness I really should come to you for advice more often.” 

“To be honest? Probably just finishing up this tub of ice cream. Want to help?” she asked, holding up a second spoon.

“Is that truly a question? Have you got a spare fork?” 

“I promise, it’ll be worth it.” 

“I think we can, we just have to act all lovey dovey and that should be easy enough to pull off.”

“I don’t know about you, but I could pull that off. Your eyes are quite lovely, I could stare into them for a while,” She responded, before breaking into a laughter. 

“It’s a surprise! Come on, You’ll love it!” 

“I’ll consider it,” she teased.

“Can I beg?” 

“This may sound terrible but if I were you I’d probably ignore her considering the circumstances.”

“Sounds terrible but- yeah, you’re right.” 

“Not sure I’d use those words, but sure Gracie.”

“What words would you use then?” 

“Trust me when it’s your life it just becomes second nature,” she trailed, taking the card back from Grace and putting it away, “Anyways, do you have any plans for today?”

At the other’s trailing off, Grace guessed that she didn’t want to talk about it much anymore. “No, not really. It’s a bit of a break day for me. Are you doing anything today?”

“I always think of the most extreme things when it comes to getting free-ish food,” Maddy chuckled. “I may definitely consider that, if only there was a way to do it with other foods. I mean, I suppose we could always try factory tours.”

“If we really sold it, I think we defiantly could get other food,” 

“She is? Well, so long as I can have some of her cake, you can have some.” 

“Well, no, but I haven’t tried yet either.” 

Grace made a face at the other and moved her fork away from the cake. “Fine, but when it’s your birthday, I expect some cake.” 

“It is, but that’s my own fault for insisting on testing every cake in the shop. Your stomach will thank you later.”

“There’s no shame in wanting to try all the cakes, if I had the chance, I’d do the exact same thing,” Grace commented, laughing at their words.
