Our family doesn’t have child labor laws 😉 we had our 6 yr old picking pecans A ton of fresh picked pecans ready for some snacks I love the time I get to spend with my little one. They grow so fast and love just spending the days doing stuff outside. Sure.. it was 40F but he was a trooper... once his hands got cold we went home. I think parenting by ipad has it's uses... but not as a way to bond with your kids. So my kids might not understand why i restrict their ipad/youtube/gaming time.... and as we left to go pick pecans... You have a voice... use it. So I was probably one of the youngest guys in the voting line. 1) I was playing my nintendo switch (why not?) 2) around 2pm I missed the work crowd and was hanging with the older generation 3) many fought for my freedom to vote I believe it's our right as citizens to vote but more so our duty to be voting on things that affect us daily. Regardless if bills get passed or if we accomplish everything on the agenda.... It's out of our control. We as citizens, parents, small business owners.... WE lead from the front. Do our part and let our voices be heard by casting our vote. With electronics at our disposal... is waiting 1 hr at a polling station really too much to ask to cast a vote? I don't think so. I had a talk to our kids about some beliefs of democrats and republicans.. .even libertarians... It's important to educate outside of the school system of your own family values and what you will or won't allow. I love my kids... I love my country... Instead of complaining be CONSTRUCTIVE. 900+ pecans in about 90 mins This is something I learned from a Ted Talk which talks about ingenuity and making something out of nothing.... As a parent... that's one of my skills  1) how do i entertain a bunch of kids at one time
2) how do i do it without having electronics
3) how can we get the kids to do something active and outside
4) how can we make them harvest food from the Earth to make me some pecan pies?
5) can we do it the asian way (on the cheap)... #frugalasian ME: kids... look. think of it like trick or treat except you don't need to wear a costume or ask for candy that will rot your teeth..... And like at Easter where you are hunting for eggs.... you get to hunt for PECANS! I can pretty much guarantee each of you would get at least 5.... didn't expect ..... 900+ pecans picked. Kids had fun and the parents got to get a ton of free pecans. I got to explain to them about the State law about thrashing pecan trees (you can't knock a branch or pick pecans off a tree limb as it carries a fine).

Marriage, Life, Business.... It's never a rigid relationship. You need to adapt. Example. It was hella freezing at the Grand Canyon and if we didn't bring jackets Jessica not have lasted very long (or me either). We adapted by wearing gloves and jackets. DUH. But why do people in marriage or business not take on the same idea? Why do people say "oh... we grew apart" or My business landscape isn't the same... well duh.. You gotta adapt with the changes.
