if so, it's hard for me to know what's going on without seeing your code myself.

okay i just have one more question, on theme 4 is there a way to make the title link to the homepage? i tried figuring it out myself but i wasn't quite sure what would go in between the > < for the text
There sure is.
Find
in the code and replace everything on that line with the following:

on theme 4, is there a way to anchor the image at the bottom of the screen?
There is. I assume you want it at the bottom right? There are actually several ways to do this. On this theme, you’ll have to move the credit image though, so here is what I suggest:
Find ‘credit image’ at the bottom of the code and replace what is there with this:
Then find “body {” and immediately after the { paste:
background-image: url(“”);background-repeat:no-repeat;background-attachment: fixed;background-position:left bottom;background-color: {color:background};
Between the ” ” paste the url of your image and then retype the quotes

Hey sorry it's me again, I just love your work, and I'm trying out your custom film page. I got everything to work for me just fine except. When my mouse hovers over the film they wont turn white like yours, or change in any other color that I've input into the code. Wondering if you can give me some tips. I've tried changing the "hover over poster background color, and the "film info text color". The "link color, and the link hover" in s-m-t-tooltip also wont budge when I change the color?

The portion of the code that changes the color and text that appear when you hover on the posters is:

The two colors above are the only ones you should change to affect that.
The colors in the tooltip (which I have copied below) change the text and background for the date that appears:

As for why it’s not working for you, it’s hard to know. Make sure that all your code looks like that above (except the colors may be different). If if does and it still doesnt work, you can message me again and I can have you send me your entire code so I can look at it. (there are just so many little things that can go wrong).

Hey I just installed your theme "Theme 6: Uncanny", very nice. I was wondering if there's any way to change the background, and if so can you show me what to look for? When I installed it, the basic settings will only let me change it to a different color, but I was thinking about adding a picture for a little more flair. Sorry I'm pretty new with tumblr customizing theme on the HTML coding settings. I would really appreciate your help though, just point me to the right direction.
Sorry, I always forget to add a way to but background images into my codes, because I don’t use them myself.
go to ‘customize html’
use ctrl+ f to find “body {“
immediately after the { paste the following:
background-image: url(“image url here”);background-repeat:repeat;background-attachment: fixed;background-position:left bottom;
and replace “image url here” with your actual image url.

It has recently come to my attention that my Penumbra theme was not written to accommodate a background image. I have edited the code and fixed that.

I'm so glad you like the theme. Also, I hope you don't mind my publishing this, but I think others might want to know this too.
So, I just spent a little while figuring how to do this and, what I realized is this: I didn't really know what I was doing when I made this theme. It's the first thing I ever made, so I guess that's not odd. Anyway, what this means for you is, adding a background will take a few steps, because you will have to correct a few errors I made along the way.
First, go to 'Edit HTML'
Then copy the following immediately below ":
then, retype the quotation marks in the above (delete them and type them yourself).
Next
Find where I have typed /*Custom CSS*/. (not far below the meta tags) You will notice a second / (it should be white). Delete that. It should not be there.
Then find body {
delete everything between the two {} and replace it with:
background-image: url('{image:background}');background-repeat:no-repeat;background-attachment: fixed;background-position:left bottom;background-color: {color:background};margin: 0;word-wrap: break-word;
At this point, you could hit 'update preview' go back to the customize page and upload a background image the same way you do the sidebar images. But you would still have one problem: the navigation part of the theme would look right with an image. To fix this
Find #navi and replace everything between the {} with:
background:{color:background}; position:fixed; width:70px; top:385px; left:1005px; margin:10px; padding:5px; color: {color:text}; border-radius:5px; text-align:center;
Immediately below that is .pagination a
replace everything between {} with:
text-align:center; padding:3px; font-size:12px; font-family:'Oxygen'; color: {color:text}; text-decoration: none;
Orrrrr. If that seems like a lot of work, you can go to the original post on my blog for that theme. Click the 'code' link and it will take you to an updated version of the code. All you will have to do to add a background is upload it like you would a sidebar image.
The code is written so that the background image starts in the bottom right and does not repeat if you want to change that let me know.
