To the writers who wrote Spock eating bacon I hope ghosts are real and Leonard Nimoy haunts the shit out of you

They wrote Spock doing what.

Don’t worry, it gets worse. In the episode Spock turns “fully human”. They treat the Vulcan cultural stance of being vegetarian as an inherent biological difference. Even if Spock is “fully human” he should still have objected to bacon because it would go against his beliefs, but the writers don’t understand that. What I feel makes the scene even worse, is that Leonard Nimoy based most of Vulcan customs on his own experiences as a Jew and with Judaism. Including vegetarianism. Not all Jews are strictly vegetarian, but it is not kosher to eat pork. Although, I don’t think the writers knew this and made an antisemitic jab on purpose. I think they’re just older millennials who still live in 2012 and think any jokes relating to bacon is funny. Even so, I fucking hate that scene.
