I am Suheila, Shadi's wife, and today I write to you with a heart full of pain, hoping you might be the light we desperately need. Our life was simple and full of love until the war tore everything apart. 💔

Shadi was once a fisherman, providing for our family with the catch of the sea. We lived peacefully, but that all changed when the airstrikes destroyed everything. 💥 His boat, our only source of income, was obliterated, and with it, our future seemed to disappear.

Since that day, we've lost everything. Our home was bombed, and now we are left with nothing but rubble and fear. 😢 Shadi is the only one holding everything together. He cares for me, our five children, and his elderly mother, "Um Shadi," who tries to support us despite her age. But we have nothing left to give.

Every night, as bombs fall around us, Shadi holds our little daughter, Mira, trying to comfort her in the midst of the chaos. The fear in her eyes breaks my heart. 😔 I watch my children live in constant terror, and it hurts more than words can express.

My name is Sahar. Like any young woman, I dreamed of a stable and happy life. I was engaged to Mohammad, and together, we dreamed of building a warm little home where we could start our life. We spent years preparing our house, but just before our wedding, everything was destroyed in an instant by the war.

I was faced with a choice: to leave Mohammad in the midst of this chaos or to stand by him and begin our journey together, no matter how difficult it might be. I chose him. We got married, not in the dream wedding I had envisioned, but under the harsh reality of war. Our new home became a fragile tent, offering neither comfort nor security.

Today, I am seven months pregnant and living in constant fear for my unborn daughter. I am terrified of the world she will be born into—a world of poverty, hunger, and freezing cold. We’ve been displaced over nine times, carrying nothing but the weight of loss and the hope for survival. The house we dreamed of is now rubble, and the tent we live in barely shields us from the rain and cold.

How will I protect my daughter? We struggle to find enough food. Basic necessities like milk, blankets, and clothing feel impossibly out of reach. The cost of survival has become unbearable. Every night, I am haunted by the thought: how can I bring her into this world, knowing I cannot keep her safe?

I write to you with a heavy heart, pleading for help. I don’t ask for much, just the chance to give my daughter a safe beginning, a life with warmth and dignity. I aspired to study a master's degree in my specialty, so that I could build a better future, and get a stable job that would help me provide a decent life for my family. But the dream collided with a painful reality; I lost my beautiful home, which was our safety shelter, and my job that would have opened the door to life again was lost for me.

Half of my friends were martyred in this cruel war, the other half between wounded or detained. I feel that the dream is moving away, and that danger is approaching from every side, but despite the pain and loss, I hold on to hope.

Today I appeal to you, sincerely from the bottom of my heart, to stand with me. My family is in danger, and my young daughter deserves a safe life away from this nightmare. My son Orhan, who is five and a half years old, has been suffering from malnutrition since the beginning of the war. Due to the lack of adequate health care,

We lack food, milk for baby Samaa, diapers, warm clothing, and medication for my mother. My brother does his best to support us, but job opportunities are almost nonexistent, and we survive on scarce aid that barely meets our basic needs.

My story and hope for survival😭

I am Israa Alwan I am 22 years old, a young woman who once had big dreams and was ready to achieve them. After years of hard work and study, I finally received my degree in Early Childhood Education. It was an indescribable joy, knowing I was about to start my journey as a teacher, to help shape young minds and walk alongside them in their first steps toward knowledge.

But my dream didn’t last. The war came and turned my life upside down. My home, which was once a safe haven, is now rubble, and I am left with only a few belongings and a shattered bag of dreams. Now, I am without a home, a job, or any sense of security. I move from place to place with my family, searching for a shelter to protect our children and the sick from the cold winter and the scorching summer.

My brother Shadi, who has always been my strength and support, now bears the heavy responsibility of caring for our entire family, doing everything he can to protect us and provide us with the bare essentials, despite the harsh conditions😭😭😭
