Long awaited update but we are here and so READY.

I finished Season 1 of Aster's Broken Heart and I want to talk about it so far. I would first like to say, I NEVER trusted Ruth, MCs best friend. I just found it extremely odd how she kept trying to get MC to come to her Chruch when Ruth knew exactly how MC felt about that stuff in general. I mean, you both escaped a Cult, cool, But if one of you would rather stay away from stuff like that in general, I say let that be the case. I just knew something was fishy about Ruth to begin with. She gave the "you know what" vibes. Kinda felt a little annoyed by MC not seeing that, since Ruth always asked her to come. So, wish there was more noticed there than the whole "she's my best friend" nonsense.

Now, the beast I've become very curious about since there wasn't a lot of information about the beast in general. Just that there is a mark and that thing has followers. I'm kinda thinking it relates to MCs childhood since we know her father was basically the leader of the Cult she survived--also...WHO THE HECK WAS THAT WOMAN IN THE BASEMENT? And will she make an appearance in Season 2? Because it would be wild to remember that and not seeing what became of her. There is just a lot of questions in Season 1; I just wonder if those questions will be answered mostly in Season 2.

And I also want to know if there was really poison in that cup, because the mass cult murder went crazy for me. There was so much left unsaid there. More so, since MC mom's literally tells her to hide. HIDE FROM WHAT?! Season 2 is filled with drama, I know it is lol.

Now, I know this is probably a huge thought but some of you may be wondering who am I romancing.

Who has MCs heart right now?

Well, I can honestly say...Cassiel. Now, don't get me wrong, I do have two other LIs I'm romancing but if I had to name a main, it would be Cassiel for a few different reasons. The other two I'm considering is Raphael and Malek.

Cassiel does draw me in more because of his protective nature and his tough love. Although, he's rough around the edges, he just feels more real. Like there is a slow burn with Cassiel and you'd really have to stay on his path to really discover it and Cassiel. And that's what I like, it's connection and building that is involved for this LI path. It's not taken lightly.

So, here is the truth haha. Although, I am Cassiel all the way. I didn't want to put all my eggs in one basket. I did have MC kiss Raphael. Although, there is something innocent about him and also questionable. I did feel it would be nice to see if I explored his path a bit but after the kiss...well, I'm not all that interested in exploring it anymore. That scene + CG just made it more clear that he's just not someone I can see MC with because it feels the compatibility is off.

Malek Sinner...now he is interesting and because of that he makes me curious to explore his path. He has this honest, odd but yet dangerous allure. I also really like that fact that he plays this little game of cat and mouse, leaving everything up to faith to meet again. There is indeed something about him. And I can't let my MC ignore it plus he can very much be a heart break route like Malbonte & Cain. Ugh, it's always the bad boys lol. So, right now, it's Malek and Cassiel for me right now.

So, I've been absent from the blog for a moment but things have calmed down a bit. I'll firstly do a life update which is what had me absent from the scene and where I am the story apps that I have.

Life has honestly been a ride of emotions and I'm sure their is many out there that can agree with me. It was about a month a ago that my company laid me off due to unforeseen circumstance the company didn't see coming and had to let go of people. Although it was disappointing. I have shed my tears during this difficult time and due to the sudden change from being a working person to jobless. However, taking this time to go through the notions and pick myself up, I am keeping my head up and thinking positive in this difficult time. However, I really enjoy writing and reading. Tumblr has always been a big part of that. So, I'm planning to get back in routine. Recently, I've decided to embark on a new journey and really break into writing and see my successes there. Most of my life, I've been practical, so during this time of change I'm choosing to dream a little and try my hand in something I love doing. I have started the journey by working on my own Interactive Story on Chapters. This is my first real story on Chapters that I've taken seriously to this level of degree. And I'm hoping to share it with all of you interactive story lovers/readers and hope you like it.

If you haven't heard, well you are going to hear it now. Shadows of Saintfour has officially gained its squeal! Which means, I'm definitely going to have to read book 1 for sure--more so now that it gained a squeal. Meaning it has to be that good.

There is a lot of books I have read on RC and there is a few I need to read for sure because some of them bleeds into other books like a tv show cross over. It may be only for a moment but the details matter. So, books that are on my must read read are:...

Shadows of Saintfour because it gained a squeal. Astrea's Broken Heart because it bleeds into Heavens Secret 3. The Missing because I'm really getting into it. Kali: Flames of Samsara because I like the fact there is a book with one of my family origins in there. Garden of Eden because it's a good story and I have to lock in.

These will be my main stories I would be focusing on and will be most of my posts. I will most likely be covering it by 3 episode basis. My main focus right now will be Astrea's Broken Heart episode 1-3. Perfect time to put my golden pass to use.

We are back at it again with My Candy Love. I did take a break from this game for a while, so we aren’t far in episodes from the last post I did about my dates/crushes in the game/story. I do have an order on how I’ll brings things up in this blog post. I’ll first talk about the overall update of where I am in the game emotionally, knowledge wise, questions, & what I’m just feeling with interactions with the characters. Following the episodes I’ve played & after I’ll talk about my dates/crushes and what that looks like with picture on the meter and how I’m feeling on that.

Update

I will not lie, the overall story is great. I love it but I realized that as I’m going through the story, I’m not ACTUALLY getting to do everything in the episodes. I’ve noticed that recently and that kind of made me disappointed because I don’t know if that would mean, some things would change or I’d get more face time with my crushes or the characters. I’m also not sure if the percentage means the episode is half finish but you finished the main agenda of that episode, so you were ready to move on to the next episode despite that episode not being completely finished—Like these are the questions I have and I most likely will have to look it up in the knowledge base in the forums, if anyone was ever thinking like me now or in the past.

Truthfully, I feel I’m not getting enough face time with some of the characters that I thought I would. The first 2-3 episodes I would understand because the MC is new but I feel after that it’s like why am I not getting enough time or face time with the characters that my MC deems as friends? And also I feel my interactions with the characters are pretty tamed for right now, I don’t know if that’s because the MC is still kinda new? So, I’m feeling kind of curious but uncertain a bit on my story development in the game.

EPISODES Played/Playing Currently

When I reopened the app to continue my journey; the episodes I had gotten through since had been: The High School Ghost, Sherlock Sucrette’s First Investigation, Cupid on Strike, Pajama Party & Final Exams.

Currently, I am on episode 9 - By the Seashore and I will admit I think I am to reply this episode 3 times in total to have the chance to get face time with ALL of my crushes and choose? I could be very wrong about that but I will do more studies on that and plays and see how that turns out. Right now, I haven’t done any replays yet with this episode and I ran into my first meet cue with one of my dates, Lysander—and we will talk more about that later. However, looks like he’s on the beach with his brother and his girlfriend. However, I don’t know if I’ll get more alone time with Lysander before the episode ends because his brother’s girlfriend is always around—ironically who has a boyfriend and shouldn’t be hanging around all that much. Which is making me raise a brow a bit at her haha. Not a lot has happened much in this episode besides the fact that we discover Lysander isn’t a fan of water. Haha, big surprise.

My Dates/Crushes

Now, to my favorite part, my dates/crushes. I will be laying all four pictures of my dates (just so people know, dates are what they are in the app).

Update! So, there has been some small development on the love meter but again, like always! Castiel is hard to please and understand. I never know exactly if he wants to be hated or loved, he’s always dancing on the thin line of both. Nathaniel, little things are coming to light but I am still annoyed he cares about his image. It’s why I was taken in by Castiel so much, he cares but not enough to change who he is as a person. Ken, he is still MIA for right now and I don’t know when he’ll be back. However, Lysander is a bit of a mystery in our interactions but yet he’s my highest love meter out of all four. I don’t know what it is but he seems easy to interact with, there is barely any expectations there. Just something floating in the air. But there is definitely a lot to discover with these guys. But to tie everything up, my love meter with each date now is…

SO, I’m sure most of you guys have already seen the newest update of last month and a lot of us had some rather interesting things to say—I, myself included. I will first admit, RC in no shape or form made us aware this was something they were considering so soon on the journey of improving and adding new features to the app. Like, this newest update came to me in such a surprising manner, that I had to scratch all that I had planned to write previously and take the time to digest what was happening…I’m pretty sure a lot of us who knew about the app, played the app, or are FG (first gen) players of the app probably never anticipated for this day to come where RC brings “subscriptions” to the table. Mind you, subscriptions…

Where am I in all of this? I’m neither here or there with this new update but I am hurt because of the lack of transparency that was involved with this latest update. Normally, there would be a little hint of some kind that would tickle our nose but what we got was just a new story coming and about close to radio silence, which was suspicious—even for RC standards. When I had the pleasure of opening the app again, I was met with two subscription options that had very little to offer. Here is what we have…

If you had taken the time to read through both passes, you would see there isn’t much being offered for RC to have a subscription on their app at this time. Even more so when they’ve only started not long ago with adding additional features to the app. Not to mention, in doing so have hurt a lot of fans in the process because what use to set RC apart from so many apps; was the freedom to choose and support. Like a small family. But now, just feels like many of us was played to be part of another interactive app’s money grab; which left many of us disappointed and betrayed.

However, I can understand some if not most reasons behind this undetected change; times are getting harder and “free” isn’t a long term solution anymore. RC has been able to keep their doors open to everyone as long as they could. But when bills, improvements, features, alongside workers comes into play. Free isn’t a logistical stance. Something would have to give and someone would have to pay. That’s just the way of the ladder. But I would love to see where everyone stand in this new change. THOUGHTS? OPINIONS? EMOTIONS? What voices and rumors are circling around this subscription?

But for transparency, I am trying out the gold pass this weekend to have a better idea of the offers that where listed if you do become a subscriber. So, there will be more to come there for sure—and yes I will be trying both subscriptions to give first hand experience on it all. This month it’s the gold pass. Next month, it’s the premium pass. So, look forward to that.

New Story Alert📚

What’s more fitting than trying out my new subscription but on a new story called, “The Sins That Cry for Vengeance.” I will be making a comparison with older stories to see if there has been changes made when it comes to choices and overall story play.

We are 17 days into the new years and I have to say, a lot as happened and still happening. Obviously, good things and good changes. I guess you can say in a way, that it’s my new year’s resolution, and I want to tell you guys all about the plans and what I’m looking forward to this year. 

I am looking forward to my reading goals this year, last year I had set the goal to read 50 books and surpassed that goal by reading 76 books in 2025. My newest goal this year, however, is reading 100 books this year. I even got a reading journal where keeping track of my goal is fine and even more engaging. I even got a notebook to help not down spicy scenes and even what I thought about specific chapters. I’m already enjoying the process and it’s been really fun. Which means, every format I’m reading my books in I will be talking about haha. So yes, MORE ROMANCE CLUB!

Update, I am completely vegetarian🥗. I decided to slowly transition from just eating fish to what I’ve achieved now. So far, it’s been an adjustment period but I’m learning a lot more about the things I need in my body and new recipes and I’m having a lot of fun figuring it out while making it cute for me. 

This year, I’m not entertaining anyone that doesn’t know. Last year, when it came to dating, I gave men excuses for why they were doing what they were doing. NO MORE, if you don’t know, you are free to figure it out on your own respectfully. I’m learning value of self is important and you shouldn’t compromise before a commitment is made. Self love and self care is the top of my list this year. 

I’ve made a point to try new things this year. Go out more and enjoy myself. Lately, I’ve been saying “Live Lavishly but on a budget & never pay full price.” The world is filled with opportunities and many are always giving discounts, sales, and even promos. I’ve learned to use and so should you—more so in this economy now. 

I’m creating my very own community on Discord. Literally my own discord server. I just felt like I’ve come to this point I would like to connect with even more people and build a rather friendly and safe community where me and everyone can be ourselves. However, overall. 2026 will be a rather busy year. Lot’s of figuring it out, planning, saving, and trying to make something of myself as a content creator. But I’m excited to start this year and continue to go through the year with some positivity.

Right now, I discovered a story that peaked my interest as of late. Firstly, if you don't know "Episodes". Episodes I would say was the first interactive story game there was. Been around for a long time, and in that time they've developed about a few extensions of the app. For apple arcade, "Episode XOXO."Which my experience wasn't bad at all. I actually liked it and may even circle back to it. However, I believe the episode apple arcade version requires a membership that is about $6.99/month. So, keep that in mind when you are thinking of trying it out. But if you do the membership, you have access to about 200+ games at your fingertips. Which isn't a bad deal.

Another extension would also be the "Episodes Emojis/Stickers." Personally, I got them because I was curious and plus the fact that I'm a long standing fan of Episodes. Not much is offered from having this but it's fun and exciting to see representation of episodes in your messages. So, if you are looking for ways for your messages to look cute and fab, try it out. But let me give you a heads up; I really meant when I said there isn't much.

Now, circling back to Episodes: Reality Stars, the game is very interesting. The overall story telling and gameplay of it is new to me but not completely new at the same time. Right now, I'm in episode 3. From what I can tell you, it is set up in a rather reality show kind of way. But to fully grasp what I'm saying, you would most likely have to play it yourself. But, here are some shots of how it would all look when you get passed episode one.

As you can see, there are some stuff that are still locked or not at my access yet because of the episode I'm on. However, I plan to play some more on Saturday of when this is release to work more on my dates. But right now, my highest connection in the game is Malcolm. He's a bit of a mystery, use to be jail bird, whose now a model.

I'm still learning much about the game overall to see where it's going after the seven episodes. I most likely will find out more afterwards. But can't wait to update you guys on more when I get more into the story.

It has probably crossed some and not most minds that I didn't post last week Saturday. Well, I do have my reasons but I would first like to apologize that the post at that time wasn't kept and such as life, things really does happen. But we are back and I want to wish everyone a belated Thanksgiving. Hoped you enjoyed it and everything went okay. But also cheering towards the holiday. I don't know if there is any wishes that anyone is having but I do plan on making my own wishes come true. I only wish that everyone also does the same.

Last week I was suppose to post about my story play with choices, but sadly I have been having some technical issues with the app and haven't been able to enjoy any game play with the app thus far. So, any story play that were coming will be paused due to this issue. If anyone else is also having this issue please reach out to support such as I did. That's right, you heard me correctly. I have completed this lovely book and absolutely loved it. Now, I don't know if there is a lot of fans of the CY series, because after the Heaven's Secret franchise. The chasing series follows shortly after for me. But we can get into my love for different books of RC when I've actually read all of them. And if you read my last post that talked about the update for October, you'd know that this is a completed series so far, as of since October. But let's deep dive into my play of the book.

I would first like to stress that this book in the series doesn't follow any of the rules in the first book. The elements of mystery and surprise all remain the same, however, is set in a different time period. What time in history that is? The Victorian Era. The story follows: A young aristocrat that must solve the mystery of a death at a ball by delving into the dark side of Victorian London. In exchange, for great friendships and a unforgettable love that awaits.

The book starts off as you playing young lady, Agatha Harrington (Of course, if you wish to change the MC name that is 😏) I'm not going to go into explicit details or outline of the entire play of the book but I will give my feelings and views of the seasons of the book instead. I mean, what kind of reader nor writer would I be if I spoiled the entire thing before you even get to read it haha. I'm just saying.

Anyway, starting off with....Season 1. How I felt about season one was just a world wind of different emotions because I'm here witnessing a new version of the first book. Just a lot of things taking place and a new mystery to solve. Possibly about a thousand different mystery at that. However, the fact there is a woman chasing a dream in that time--mind you, this time is basically the women shutting up era. Smile and nod era. So, for the MC to boldly chasing and wanting her own investigation Agency, it just made me want to continue reading. Then meeting the love interests were the highlights. I mean, Duke Alex? Come on, I ate that up haha. Plus, he was my love interest. And when you tied that in with the dead coming back to life, ghosts, and someone that claims they are a medium. Season one, will most likely take you for a ride.

Season two? It's a circus act. Literally. Not to mention you get to experience a little fling with some twins you may have not seen in a while and thing get heated and romances are tested. It's also where you get to choose if you get to become a specific's someone chosen person.

Season three, you may have marriage in your future or maybe a forever partner. Who knows haha.

All the seasons had something new and amazing to look forward to and even question. There is many things, mystery, morals, and even dreams tested all in the same breathe. I'm really trying not to spoil it, even now. The book is indeed and I totally say give a read. Consider this my RC recommendation alongside with book one.

As you can see, Heaven’s Secret has once again WITHOUT fail! Is on the most popular list right on top with Book 1 & Book 2.

—Now I could be biased. I have been with RC since their release when they only had 3-4 books available at the time. HS is a beaming classic because it was with me right from the start.

Heaven’s Secret is probably and MOST likely the only book on RC with a franchise that keeps on giving. There is no way I see this series ending so soon. HS literally has a spin off! And it’s literally in 4th place on the popular list--Probably, even higher now. Must I say more? 😏 But let's be real, HS3 episode release of October was MAJOR. Nine episodes in one seating is most likely a RC record. Like, I don't know how and when they said let's do it. But they out did themselves with that one. What do ya'll think happened?

And as promised, time to talk about my dates on MyCandyLove, one by one haha. First up on the chopping block...Nathaniel.

My love matter for him is 3%...it's pretty okay, however, Nathaniel is most definitely a people pleaser from what I observed from my interactions with him. He is huge on image and doesn't want to be seen in a specific way. It's a bit annoying because you most likely don't know what he's really thinking or feeling, or how you should structure your choices when it comes to him. He also has a bit of a sister problem and family problems at home right now, which makes him give his sister passes for her behavior. So, this all kinda makes him unattractive to me. And it's not because of the family problems. It's the people pleasing and how my choices basically structure around his people pleasing basically. I don't like it and it makes me feel like I'm focusing on other people more than my connection with him. Most of my choices when it comes to him barely has anything to do with him solely. I don't know how a connection can build from that unless I'm also a people pleaser. Which I'm not, so he basically falls under the bar for me. Also, the fact that he let's his sister get away with her behavior is also a red flag for me too. Its giving lack of accountability on both sides. I'm placing him in 4th place on this list out of my dates. Next up on the chopping block...Castiel.

Soooooooooo, my love meter with him is negative 18%. The worse part is...he's my crush lol. Now, I know that sounds crazy but hear me out; Castiel, he's honestly hard to read. He's neither a people pleaser but he's neither someone that cares. However, this can be different because of our interactions. Because I've seen so far, he does care a bit about what I think about him but he acts nonchalant which would make you think otherwise, and because of that most choices--if not all of them will be hard to make when it comes to him. He is by definition hard to read. However, I feel because he is hard to read, I'm also reconsidering my option in making him my crush. I won't lie, I really like him. Basically my type, however, I don't do the whole push and pull. I like routine. I like consistency. I'm not saying he won't be all of that and more, but right now, I just feel l'm at a point to still explore the other options given to me. However, Castiel would be in 2nd place for me. Next up on the chopping block...Ken!

Now, my love meter with Ken is 25%...if you ask me why? I wouldn't be able to fully tell you. The thing about Ken (Kentin) is that he's always been in love with MC. I'm not sure if that's because they've been childhood friends or basically went to. every school together but he doesn't try to hide it. It feels like no matter what I do as the MC, it doesn't effect him much when it comes to the love meter. It's like he'll love the MC no matter what she does. Connection wise, I can't say there is much there and he's mostly just tried to please MC. So, I can't speak much on it. But Ken is really sweet, kind, and sweet. Which makes me feel there is potential there. However, his ability to not challenge MC will most likely hinder any connection that would grow. Which places him at the 3rd spot on my list. Next up is...Lysander.

My love meter with Lysander is 5%...Thing here is, there isn't much I can say about Lysander. Wasn't long since I was introduce to him as he's one of Castiel's band mates. He seems really nice and calm. As for connection, I can feel a little something there but there is nothing close to what I feel with my other prospects for MC. Truthfully, there is not much to say about him yet which places him in 1st place on my list. Why? Because I don't know him yet. I don't have much to say about him besides his friendly attitude towards MC which feels welcoming. He just being himself is what I'm getting.
