Proud to have been part of an amazing sold-out event in Brooklyn in tribute to Scott Hutchison raising $12,000 for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP). Music, poetry and an incredible crowd of people can do incredible things!
I highly recommend checking out the beautiful, expanded edition of Francis Daulerio and Scott Hutchison’s ‘Please Plant This Book’. All proceeds benefit the AFSP, available exclusively from The Head & The Hand Press.Â
‘Honest Man’ is a tribute to the late Scott Hutchison (Frightened Rabbit), in support of the Scottish Association for Mental Health. It was an honour to have known Scott, whose music will continue to inspire me and so many others around the world. Please download this track for free, spread the word, and consider donating whatever you can to help the SAMH continue their vital work: www.samh.org.uk/donate. The track itself is a modern rendition of the Robert Burns poem 'On My Own Friend And My Father's Friend, Wm. Muir In Tarbolton Mill’.
Adam Holmes is one of the country’s most promising young artists, creating a unique brand of soulful roots music.
UPCOMING GIG: 26 February 2018, 8pm @ Perth Theatre

Is it safe to make Christmas related posts yet?! Here goes! My new 3 track festive release for 2015, 'Merry Christmas From Scotland' is out now! It's a wee compilation of Christmas tunes recorded over the years, including a brand new rather dramatic and somewhat unchristmassy sounding track ‘Holy, Holy, Holy’. Available to download now on iTunes, and a very limited supply of brightly coloured physical copies can be purchased from these lovely places: BandCamp Avalanche Records (Edinburgh) Coda Music (Edinburgh) Love Music (Glasgow)Â
The day has arrived! Today sees the release of my debut album, The Girl Who Cried For The Boy Who Cried Wolf. Myself & my musical partner Ross Lorimer spent two great years recording with Marshall Craigmyle of the Old Mill Studios, and I'd like to say a big thank you to everyone who helped create it, from every trumpet toot, string piece (Cairn String Quartet) and tambourine hit! And to everyone for following it and promoting it along the way, I'm very grateful. We're really happy and proud of it, and hope you enjoy listening. You can hear, download and order physical copies of the album on Bandcamp and find it stocked in Edinburgh's Avalanche Records and CODA Music, along with iTunes etc. As you can tell from the photo, we've been eagerly excited about this day for years !
"A magnificent piece of work... as good as anything I've heard all year." Album review from the Sunday HeraldÂ

'Fare Forward', a first listen from the new album. Photos courtesy of my Grandad's old days in the war.Â
Fare forward, til you take on water Til the sea is howling, I'm sorry you're drowning Til the storm gives in, learns not to throw you wagers And the sight of home, is that bit nearerÂ
