“Are you trying to make me jealous of my shoes? Perhaps I should come home more often, just to avoid such pettiness and attempts at drama.” Shaking his head as to dismiss the compliment, Robin eventually pushed the heels of both booths, enjoying the freedom that wrapped around his feet as they took part of the fresh air. “As much as I like them I have to say goodbye.” He shuffled them to the side of the wall, happy to place his full attention back at Seb – finding himself drifting off for a second as the sight swept his eyes. “Here’s to hoping I don’t pass out then, like last time. The thought isn’t as sexy as I’d like.” 

Not long after came the pout, baffled with how Sebastian had so easily wrecked his idea with some sort of logic to it. “No, but – it’s different! You can still get hurt falling on top of your head, I was… you know… thinking of something more stable. Have you ever fallen on top of your head? It feels.” Sadly, it was hard to stay pouting for long, far easy too manipulate back into a good sense of humor at the second compliment of the day. A faint blush was sensed around the back of his neck, rolling his eyes. “You can’t wreck my ideas and then just think a smooth recovery is going to save you. I mean, it’s cute – like the rest of you – but I’m not falling for it! I was onto something there. You’re just mad I got to it first.” 

Oh, there were plenty of things Robin was hungry for. Contact, conversation, to regain the time lost between them and to explore Portugal. He was hesitant to let go of Sebastian, shivers of happiness and comfort to overpower his ability to think and he much preferred to hold onto the other man, just in case he’d slip away for good; but he knew better than to keep his husband away from his tasks. Robin’s eyes drifted halfway over to the kitchen counter, humming along. “Had any chance of exploring cultural cuisine yet? No need to hold back, you know I’ll eat almost anything.” Wait… was he actually trusting him to help? A slight disbelief filled Robin’s head, wondering what tasks could be thrown his way he accepted it. “Oh, maybe I can chop something? You can trust me with a knife, I don’t slip with those as often! If I can help I’ll help, nothing to say I can’t talk to you at the same time.”

Sebastian chuckled softly, for some reason agreeing to continue this ridiculous boot conversation. “You can rest assured that I wasn’t carrying on a sordid affair with any pairs you happened to have left behind. I agree though that you should come home more often.” He just huffed another highly amused laugh as Robin took off his boots and shook his head about his husband passing out tonight after his long journey home. “I would understand if you did. I suppose that’s what lazy mornings were made for?” 

“Dare I ask what on Earth you were doing when you fell on the top of your head? And my answer to that is no. I have fallen on the back of my head; inline skates are not to be trifled with.” A sparkling smile parted Sebastian’s lips when the other man called him cute. “I’m all about the smooth recovery, and you know it. What are you going to do about that, Mr. Stenmark?” His brows raised about the budding invention, unable to keep the grin off his face. “Let me know when you make your first ten million euros, and then we shall talk. What’s yours is mine, after all.”

After he reluctantly let go of his husband, Sebastian shook his head in the negative about exploring the local cuisine thoroughly. “No, not as much as I could have. I like to think you make me more adventurous; I think it’s one of the main reasons you convinced me to marry you. No matter where we are in the world, it’s just better when you’re beside me.” That was Sebastian’s truth, and he hoped it conveyed how much he had missed his husband. He grinned and shook his head fondly. “Yes, I know you’ll eat anything. It’s like the gods themselves made you exactly to specifications for the vagabond life you would eventually lead.” He eyed Robin cautiously and moved toward a drawer to pull out a big spoon and a blunt-ended knife, which still possessed a good cutting edge for cutting fruits and vegetables. “Mind the edge. Truth told, it’s made for a child that we do not currently have. Please take that thought as concern for your well-being, not as an insult about your track record. Alternatively, you may stir or mix once I get things going.” He smiled softly, curious about Robin’s journey. “Did you find any hidden gems of the world that can’t be missed?”
