Come on out to the SoNo Park Holiday Fest from 11am - 5pm this Sunday, December 4, 2011, to visit Laurasaurus Designs (and our sister company, Hester Crown Jewelry). It will be held here in San Diego on Thorn Street, in between Herman and Bancroft (yep, shutting the street down!). There will be lots of amazing local crafts, a chili cook-off (vegan chili available!), tons of craft beer (they've got kegs from Stone, Pizza Port, Ballast Point, Rock Bottom, Karl Strauss, and my personal favorite, Green Flash) and wine, and live bands!!! And it's all about the kids! The event is being held to benefit McKinley Elementary School's art and music programs, so this is guilt-free shopping at its finest! i started laurasaurus designs in my apartment in berkeley during my second year there. it's kind of funny for me to think about how i got started. it really began because i was spending so much money on jewelry supplies and had to find a way to keep being able to get more! all of this is giving me the urge to get a baubles and beads fix asap! berkeley look out!

i'm super excited because yesterday i picked up some amazing record charms!!! i haven't found any in quite some time so this is awesome! i'm thinking earrings, but feel free to let me know if you have other suggestions. they should be up on the website in the next few days. and it works out so perfectly, because today is the swami record swap here in san diego at bar pink. i've got records on the brain!!!!

this post is in honor of my friend kevin. happy birthday kg! he is the best pizza-maker ever and one time long ago i made him pizza cuff links. but he does much more than that too, like give me a run for my money at ping pong. anyways, he is super awesome and i am excited that it is his birthday! also, click here to see these earrings on my website... c'mon, this stuff serves multiple functions! ;)

rubber duckies! i actually have a collection of rubber duckies (devil duckies, tennis player duckies, duckies at the spa, and the list goes on) and so i couldn't resist making a pair of earrings devoted to them. they come on 14kt gold-plate hooks. check them out here! 

snack time!!! can you tell i have an obsession with mini food yet? this pair of earrings features a candy bar, a piece of toast with peanut butter, some pretzels, and a banana (gotta get some healthy stuff in there too!) and is available here
