Jesse Katsopolis x Reader
Summary: Danny invites Y/N to come and stay at the house for a few weeks while she recovers from a bad relationship. Jesse is stunned when his childhood best friend appears at the front door and some unsettled emotions start to resurface.

You felt like you had been staring at the phone for hours, warring with yourself trying to decide whether or not to call. Finally, you picked it up and dialed the number, listening as the other line rang.
“Tanner residence,” Danny answered and you could hear his bright smile through the phone.
“Danny… it’s me, Y/N.” You took a deep breath.
“Y/N! Wow, it’s so great to hear from you, how have you been?” His friendly voice put your mind at ease and you let out a relieved sigh.
“I’ve been better. Actually, Danny, I was hoping I could ask you a favor.”
“Anything for one of Pam’s bridesmaids.” Hearing her name still sent a sharp pain through your heart, but after a year, it had become easier to bear.
“Well I’m finishing up the nature guide up here in Alaska and I’m catching the first flight back home tomorrow. I was hoping I could come stay with you until I find my own place.” You had spent the entire year writing a travel guide for Alaska’s wildlife and you were suffering from a mix of homesickness and cabin fever.
“That would be amazing! I would love for you to come stay with us and I’m sure the girls will be thrilled to hear that Auntie Y/N is coming over. I’ll tell them as soon as they get home from school.” With a kind farewell, he hung up and you ran your fingers through your hair. Staring up at you from the coffee table was a face you hoped to never see again. You picked up the photograph and threw it into the trash where it would remain in your mind as well.
The taxi pulled up to the sidewalk and you paid him with a relieved smile and opened the car door. The house stood as a beacon and you let out a grateful sigh. It was one of the few places where you truly felt at home. The taxi pulled away and you made your way to the front door, not even having to knock before the door swung open and you were tackled in hugs.
“Aunt Y/N!” Stephanie shrieked excitedly.
“We missed you!” DJ added. The two young girls clung to your legs as you stepped over the threshold, grinning at Danny as he gave a shrug before taking you into his arms. With all three of the Tanner’s gripping you in a massive group hug, you felt the warmth spread through you, but you also felt a lack of air.
“I hate to break this up, but I might need to breathe at some point.” You laughed. They all broke away and Danny had to pull the girls away so you could get down the steps.
“I can’t wait for the guys to see you.” He beamed. “I’ll go get them now.” He started back towards the kitchen.
“Wait, guys?” You called after him, but the girls erupted in questions before you could stop him.
