The Latea Region

No, I just am nearly. Once the week is over I’ll prolly start looking for a second mod. 

In other words, this is the last day to submit art for the sushi pokemon contest. 

(I like how the baby to the far right has just given up hope at the inevitability of the giant words falling and crushing them all.)

Anyway! Just what’s in a name? That’s what we’re going to find out for our next pokemon contest. 

Yep, for this one we’ll be thinking up a name first, and then designing a pokemon around that. So if you have any clever puns or wordplay that you’d like to share, now would be the perfect time. 

Next up, we’ll be deciding on Axolux’s and Ampolotl’s standard ability. It’s just going to have one, so just vote once.

Female Tusquake look for males with the largest teeth. Males of the species will put on extravagant shows of dental might to win their favor.

“Dental might” is just an absolutely great phrase. We ought to start using it more. 

Let’s get back to working on our new dark type flea circus-themed pokemon. You guys seem interested in giving them some new names, so let’s get started on the first form. 

Because I’ve been so flaky lately, I’m going to go and give you another week to send in art for the sushi pokemon contest. Submissions will now close on March 31st!

Okay, so a quick refresher course since I’ve been away for a while.

The governing legendary pokemon behind the Latea Region represent the concepts of Purity and Corruption. In addition, there is a third legendary pokemon that has been recently created by humans in an attempt to defend against or bring peace to them. This third pokemon is artificial in nature in some way, and lacks a mind or soul--it is therefor effectively outside the scope of both purity and corruption. 

Now, in our most recent poll, you decided that this third legendary will be able to take on a second, stronger form through the use of a unique held item. Some suggestions offered for the basis for this form were that it would represent both purity and corruption at once, or that it would be themed around the concept of judgement. 

So let’s decide the basis for this form change. You can recommend either of the two previously mentioned ideas, or suggest something new if you’d like.
