Guess you're right. Huh? ....Oh Alfie, he was this dog I used to watch out for for my neighbors way back when. Crazy dog wouldn't listen to a word I said. 

Not seeing what else she could say, Ginevra merely looked back down to her laptop without saying anything else to the man. She continued to read, and every now and then she typed a couple of notes about the study she was reading. As she hears him address her once more, the firebender looks up to meet his eyes "It is, if linguistics and pedagogy are fields of interest for you".

Leo would be absolutely lying if he said that they were. Both were important in so many way but he couldn't immerse himself in the subjects with as much focus and attention to small detail as Ginevra could. "Not exactly." 

Don’t pretend like you know me. Of course I’d be gone. I’d never stick around someone knowing that they got hurt because of me. Especially if they were trying to help me. I’d run because it’s safer for everyone around. 

I'm not pretending. You got sorted into my House, meaning we share of few personality traits. From class, I think I got the gist of the kind of person you are. And you're smart enough to know that even if you ran they'd use the people you know at this school against you. 

Agnes chuckled. A trickster. Now that seemed more likely than one witch — or hell, even multiple witches — casting a spell that managed to span across the entire school, “It’s really too bad you didn’t study crimonology, Leo,” Agnes chirped with a hint of a smirk, “you would’ve made an excellent detective.” With all the supernatural tomfoolery going on around Clearbrook Academy, they could very well need one of those sometime soon. For now, most of the things that happened were fairly harmless … but what if they escalated beyond that? What if people started getting hurt? Agnes didn’t want to think about that and pushed the thought from her mind, “I wouldn’t put it past our resident trickster  honestly,” she said, referring to their resident trickster. “Wouldn’t be the first time Amara was up to no good.”

"What do you mean 'would've'? I think I'd still make a pretty great one." Leo had thought about it, Once upon a time. Going into the police academy, do that bring justice to all and rescue civilians sort of deal. But he'd probably land himself in more hot water than he could handle with the way he did things. "Amara? You think?" He questioned lightly. It wasn't that farfetched really but Leo wasn't so sure that the trickster would pull something like that. "I don't think she'd let something like that get as out of hand as it did." He mulled over the thought before letting it go. "Well even if it is her, you know Chancellor Pennifold is going to rip her a new one." 

Savannah couldn’t help but scoff, but instead of retaliating with a lame retort, she took the match and stared at it, the tiny piece of wood trapped between her index finger and thumb, ” A needle?”  That couldn’t be too hard. They were roughly the same shape after all, “Mutant speciem,”  she mumbled in a low voice. The object between her fingers twisted and changed. “Ow!”  The redhead yelped, a tiny drop of blood emerging where the needle had pierced the tip of her finger, “Well eh, at least it worked,”  the pain in her finger was long forgotten, as the young witch marveled at the sight of the needle, “thanks professor A!” 

Leo grinned. "See? Easy as pie, right?" Now they were working with something. "Here, let me see your hand first." The prick had been small, and not much blood had come out, but the older teacher felt the need to make sure his student was a-okay. The last time he ignored a minor injury with a little blood involved, he had a student pass out on him. "Conligata." He murmured under his breath as he brushed his thumb over the tiny bloodied spot. "There you go." 

Her ears perked up at coffee. While she had to admit this was awkward as anything coffee would help to make things at least more manageable. She reached out to grab the coffee. Inhaling deeply before she took a healthy sip. It was the perfect temperature and he had made sure to keep the perfect balance of sugar to coffee. 

Leo carefully slid it right back in her direction. "It's fine, take it. You need it more than me I think." They can think of it as a sort of peace offering. Albeit a rather poor excuse of one, but it was something. 

Dakota began to nod her head  as a small smile spread over her lips. She could slowly feel her body begin to wake up. She had always been a slow riser one that needed coffee within five minutes if she was going to be any sort of aware for the rest of the morning. But knowing that her french press was all the way back in Graduate village she tried to make due by rubbing her eyes. 

"Whatever it is that you're so nervous about, I promise I won't do it, ok?" Leo did his best to try and calm Dakota before she did something she'd regret in her frazzled frame of mind. Really he didn't mean to, if he'd known it was her up here he really wouldn't have offered to be the one to check. 

"Because — I suck!” Savannah threw her hands up in the air in exasperation, “I have to practice. It doesn’t really matter what I magically enchant to transfigure itself into something else. As long as it happens. Kinda gettin’ desperate here, professor A.”

"You don't suck, like you said, just need a little practice Let's start with something a little more simple than turning a vase into microphone." Leo suggested, looking for something a little smaller, fishing in his pocket for his matchbox. "Here, try this." Giving her a match. "Transfigure this into a needle." A simple task that most students could handle. 

"I said, do you want to get some coffee. I could use a refill." Lorenzo looked at his colleague side-eyed. "But now, I think that it should be more of an order than a request. You’re half asleep, Leo." He laughed.

"Don't know what you're talkin' bout. I'm more awake than ever." He lied, shrugging off the sleep with a loud yawn. "But if you're getting refills, I wouldn't hate you if you brought me a cup, too. Just putting that out there."  

"Well, it wasn’t exactly our fault,” Agnes stated, “and by our I’m speaking for the two of us … unless you have a confession to make? You are a witch after all, and rumor has it it was probably a spell that caused all the mayhem …” For a moment, Agnes looked at Leo with an intense gaze before breaking out into a grin, “Just messin’ with ya.”

"Nope, my hands are clean." He stated, putting his hands in the air to emphasize his innocence. "So that's the theory they got." Really it probably wouldn't be far off. Though it had to be multiple witches for something as extensive as the nightmares that raided their school. "I was thinking witch, fae, and a trickster." Although with someone as rare as a trickster, he couldn't see the benefit they would get from attacking here. 

Or perhaps they just don’t have any respect for you. It’s often difficult for some students to see younger professors as deserving of as much respect as older faculty members. 

I'm not exactly that close to their age. I mean, I can see some of the graduates not listening after a while, but freshmen? I'm closer to their parents' age than them. Whatever, I'll make them listen, somehow. Should be easier than trying to get Alfie to listen. 

"I wasn’t talking to you" the linguistics teacher states simply, looking up from the her laptop’s monitor to look at the professor across from her place at the teachers’ lounge “I was merely reading out loud a study on non-native features in near-native speakers”.

"Oh." He lamely replied. "Think I should get my ears checked." Lately it seemed he was hearing things that just weren't. Mistaking voices to be aimed at him, hearing people say his name, and the like. 

If someone was hurt do you think that I’d be standing in front of you wasting my time? No, I’d be so far gone that I’d never be found again. 

No you wouldn't. You're not the type of person to run away like that. You'd be sitting by them if someone else was hurt. 

No. Yes and no. Everyone’s fine. Don’t worry about that. 

If someone got hurt, if you did, I do have to worry about that. Who was with you?
