My CSSSA Animation Application!

Just in case anyone’s been wondering why I haven’t posted in a while, it’s because I've spent the last month working on an application for the animation program at CSSSA! I live waaay outside the US so it’s a lot more competitive, but dangit if I’m not gonna try!

a) a painting that suggests a story

b) a painting of anything that interests you

This one’s about about my favorite stuffed owl named Owly (haha i’m great at names) My reasoning for this piece is that I wanted to reflect how my adorably fluffy stuffed owl always seemed to be there to offer comfort to me.

c) demonstrate your technical skills

A good ol collage of drawings in various media

d) an animation showing your understanding of movement

This was my first time doing papercut animation (or really animation in general) It’s really time-consuming (especially if you don’t have a tripod), but I’m honestly pretty happy with the end result!

Welp, I got a busy two weeks ahead of me... (plus I’ve got a SAT tomorrow. Wish me luck!)

I’m probably gonna be burying my head in textbooks, but hopefully i’ll be able to post some doodles! And then my copy of pokemon sun might finally arrive T.T
