Lara Croft Lovers

Moonlight is probably my favourite track so I decided to animate it. This is just a very rough animatic choppily put together. The only thing final is the camera.

Notes: the white circle is a torchlight waved around by a guard from the other side of the same door…Lara is hiding from him next to the bin.

I’m trying to stay true to the game so most of the references I used are from there.

- The best part about the music is the amazing audio queue. I just add the sound effects and it matches perfectly with the suspense and anticipation the music provides. In a way, the music is the director ;)

I think I’m in the minority when I say, I don’t see Lara and Kurtis as a romantic couple(even if it’s canon). They’re more towards partners and competitors rather than lovers. Sort of like a friendly rivalry where they both each try to one-up the other person since the two are equally matched where Lara possesses agility(but less strong) and pinpoint accuracy while Kurtis is strong(but slow) and have super natural powers. They’d be sparring and telling how much they are better than the other person but at the same time they trust each other enough to make a perfect team decision. I really enjoy that kind of banter. But then again, I’m not the romantic kind.
