Wade winked  and gave him a nod. “Yes siree.” He looked the kid over. “How old are you kid?” He wiggled his eyebrows in question, placing his hands on his hips as he leaned forward closer to his face.

Wade hung his head defeated.He knew when he was defeated. Placing the dig gently into her arms he hugged her and kissed her lovingly. “I comply commander.” Ruffio barked, wagging his tail and licked her face once more.

Wade gently passed the dog to her and smiled at the little guy. “I already did. Doc said he’s healthy and good to go.” He started to scratch behind the dogs ears. “Ruffio, Ruffio, Ru-fi-oooooooo!” The dog barked happily.

Charlie smiled at the puppy, then looked up at Wade. “Wade Wilson, I will only let you keep the puppy if you actually help me take care of him. You can’t just leave me to walk, feed, and bathe him. I will take him to the shelter if you don’t help.” She wouldn’t really, but that wasn’t the point currently.

Wade gasped out loudly, placing a hand on his heart like he was wounded. “Charlie! I’m hurt.” He takes the dog back and holds him close. “Don’t worry, I’ll protect you from the evil.” He sticks his tongue out at her, giving her a playful wink. “Come on Ruffio.”

Charlie’s hands followed after Ruffio when Wade snatched him back. A pout now sat on her lips as she gave him puppy dog eyes. “Waaaade, give him back! You can’t wake me up from the goodness that is sleep and hand me a puppy, then take him back!” She whined and held her arms out. “Get your butt back here!”

He wiggled his butt as he walked further away from her. “Away!” The dog barked and wagged his tail as Wade picked up speed. “You’ll never catch us!!!” He giggled like a mad man, sitting on the stair rail and sliding down. ‘Whee!”

“Waaaade, be careful!” She called out to him as she threw the covers off then went to catch up to him. She went down the stairs, normally, and looked at him with raised a brow. “You want me to hold kisses hostage too? Give me the puppy and give me snuggles.”

“You wouldn’t dare!” He turned quickly and looked at her. Taking note of the seriousness on her face he walked over and hugged her with one arm. “Take it back!!!!” He whined, the dog whining with him before licking her face.

“Can’t resist a pretty girl.” He gave her a wink, chucking at the slight tint of color that formed on her cheeks. Wade sighed softly as he stretched his back. You needed to stretch more. Shut up I stretch enough. He argued with himself before focusing on the girl once more. “You handled yourself pretty good there.” He walked around her slightly, a hand placed on his chin. “Let me guess, one of the trading posts? Had to defend your stuff a lot?” 

Scoffing, she kept her grip on her staff steady, not expecting to need it against him but knowing better than to let her guard down just yet. He looked like he was arguing with himself, but the expression dropped as he circled her, looking too familiar to the more suspicious figures she’d run into, and away from, on Jakku. Lifting her chin, she let her eyes narrow as she kept them trained on him. “Not a terrible guess. What could have given it away?”
