but lena just says ‘so do i call you major or director?’

i was going for an au where she is not in kara’s life, actually. but assuming she exists in kara’s life as her best friend but they’re not together bc kara is with diana, i’d ship lena with lucy. my 3 main reasons, in no particular order:

i think they’d get along really well from what i’ve seen of their personalities so far;

they’d understand each other’s stances when it comes to family - and the relationship they have/had with their own (both lost a mother, both have/had conflicting relationship with their respective fathers, both are in their respective sibling’s shadow in one way or another);

they proved to be loyal, someone you can depend/count on, and i think that’s something (someone) both of them need in their lives;

Well now that you make the case for it… Plus, I’m always a sucker for some successful career women (maybe it was watching so much of The Good Wife, but I do love a good lawyer AU and may or may not have a political AU that’s been in the works for a while). Plus, now that you’ve made me think about the actresses…they do both seem to radiate chemistry with whomever they play opposite.
