Overall thoughts that no one asked for: as someone who did read the Odyssey in high school, as well as the version used for this adaptation, it’s good if you manage your expectations for what its goal is. I believe it’s worth seeing in theatre’s, and this is coming from someone who isn’t even an Interstellar glazer as I much prefer Inception. All of the racists and transphobes betting on this movie to flop can suck it. I feel like that was a motive to see it to figure out what everyone was up in arms about. I’m also a history nerd. I just pray that media literacy isn’t truly dying. Yes there are more accurate RETELLINGS of the Odyssey but this is a good ADAPTATION that I think is receiving hate for the wrong reasons.
