hmm I think to see others’ “problems” as prompts to what is bothering us. a mirror practice. take it as a challenge to communicate and also not take it as a personal attack on you. everyone is doing what they believe is best or right for where they’re at, for the most part, and is dealing with their own stories about themselves and the world. it helps to be kind and it helps to stand up for yourself, and it helps to do these things lovingly if you can. I’d say the rule is if it bothers you for an extended period of time either say something or change the situation for yourself and accept that people sometimes just are who they are. if it isn’t an environment you want to be in then you can change it.
