The hardest part was to stop fighting… to stop trying to glue the broken pieces back together and just walk away. I mean, how do you just let go of someone you spent so long desperately holding on to?

And now I realize that despite every beautiful moment we have had, I mean nothing to you.

“That night, the last night we spent together, was incredible. Almost as if things were back to how they used to be. And I knew it wouldn’t last, I knew it wouldn’t and I told him it wouldn’t but he made me want to believe that things would change. Maybe I should’ve know better,” I tell her, mostly speaking my thoughts as they come to me. “If you knew how it would end, why did you do it? Why kiss him?” She frowns at me, clearly confused. “Because I wanted to believe in the fairytale. But fairytales don’t last in real life.”
