they may be living muppets, but let me just tell you that they are HUGE birds. Like, reminds you they’re descendants of dinosaurs huge. And when you’re in the jungle and four of them stop and look at you, you suddenly remember that nature doesn’t care how goofy something looks, it’s still going to murder you without hesitation.

for my entire life i wondered why a dragonfly has an ass thats like 8 times as long as their body and tonight i finally felt compelled to investigate and as it turns out dragonflies breath thru their ass and can shoot water out of their butt hole to make them fly faster…….so…… i really did not expect that to be the answer but there it is

literally ALL of these cats just revealed that not only do they recognize a separate moving image as themselves, but that they recognize their owner AND their placement in space which is actually a Big Fucking Deal and I hope that animal behaviorologists are going nuts over this

They’re not sure the cats are passing a mirror test and instead responding to their owner’s actions. But it also falls under the animal behaviorologist problem of  “Cats just don’t cooperate with tests so we aren’t sure exactly how smart they are”
