“Nice game” Japan smiled and offered to shake Netherlands’s hand after the game was over. It had been rough, and while he would never lose faith on his Blue Samurais, he wouldn’t lie saying it was easy and would make sure to congratulate them.

Countries had to sit next to each other during games, according to the rules set by the FIFA, so they had shared private seats. The good news is that they had been friends for a long time, so it wasn’t as akward as last World Cup when he had to share with a girl he didn’t know and next to a quite angry Spain (never would he have guessed he had such a somber side to himself ). Germany and him, being friends, had been a happier time

But with Netherlands, Japan wondered if he should have celebrated less when Nakamura and Kamada scored. Considering that the smoking area was too far away, his long-time friend had to go completely smoke free for the whole second half as it was too far away to go in the hydration time.

So…he wondered if his mood was sour. Back in South Africa, it was his team who had lost after all.

Tying was good for Japan, but for the European country….

Tying was practically losing. Why all that hard work, if it was easily matched ? He’d need to have a stern talk with his Clockwork Oranges and made sure they gave a better performance against Sweden.

Now a perk of tying had been simple: even after having been friends for so long, he would lie if he was asked when had he seen Kiku smile so brightly. Hell, the black-haired country had actually jumped the second time they scored.

Initially, I was planning on doing my glorious EngPort for this day, but then “Love” was one of the themes (like De Liefde !!!), and the Netherlands versed Japan in the World Cup like… I just HAD to do them!
