Terra Branford

           x. her concern for this flower was rather odd. he’d seen at least a dozen others just like it lining the pathway, a common breed with no real medicinal properties. it was only good for aesthetic value, really. s’pose she’s seen some significance, but he failed to realize just what that was – nor did he look far. save for her comment that unveiled her misjudgment. for a second time does he shift his stance to give her a wide berth, two gloved fingers pushing the frame of his glasses to their appropriate place at the bridge of his nose.

     "I would have remembered if I've seen you....a man who looks like fire," thus began her speech of such abstract thought. But her line of thought included how many has perished due to the uprising of the harlequin's wrath; how many has suffered and she has seen many of them over the course of their still unfinished journey. Unable to hold back as she's never known what or when it is appropriate to say such things. The longer she looked upon him, the more she is beginning to notice something.....

      "Are you from Figaro? You dress like some of the people there...though...you act nothing like Edgar..." His tone sounds far detached, though it did little to bruise the half-esper.

⌠ ℑ n Command⌡— There was chaos and calamity, but the sights weren’t all that new to the commander. What made this particular confrontation stark from the rest was the unlimited surge of mana and magic being flung from one side to another. He couldn’t tell if it was a genuine fight or mages simply having a brawl. Although he himself was well-endowed with ice magic in his veins, he knew it was best not to jump into a situation he wasn’t entirely sure of. A petite woman, one who was adorned with ivy locks was the closest thing to him that he could see as guidance then.

   Chaos indeed. A war that had yet to recede or meet any signs of being subdued, not when the struggle and greed for power continued to spread like a vicious plague. Before her, one of the espers she's encountered by pure chance is at battle against one of the magitek armors. Not yet does she intervene, but when the approach of a civilian, she is alarmed.

  More so by his cluelessness than his attire (oddly resembling that of a shadowed ally). "You're not safe here then..." she warned, though she does not tear her gaze away from the battle. 

          “Pretty cool, huh?”

Although not Sora’s forte, the Keyblade was natural conduit for casting magic … Plus it didn’t hurt to, once & a while, practice the skill. On top of that, it was pretty  a d d i c t i n g!

   "Cool...but it's fire...fire magic." Obvious that she has misunderstood what is a praise to his own doing. And much too engrossed in how she has met another who can conjure such magic. There is almost grief within her expression, albeit brief when told of how it's the odd, large weapon that aids in the magic. 

   "Keyblade...?" It's when she admires the weapon with intrigue, though confused. "Why the design? It looks nothing like Celes'...but, does this mean you're like her? A rune knight?" All the more she is concerned---. Was this boy experimented on?

Farewell - Yoko Kanno

There’s a small flash of a smile as he turns to face her. Of course the ship is precious to him, very few things left in his life are so he appreciates her consideration. “I wouldn’t have offered if I wasn’t.” He says as he gestures for her to join him by the wheel. However it wasn’t like he was about to let her sail the ship on her own, he’d be right there by her side to offer advice, or in the worst case scenario, take control if need be. Still, given enough practice and depending on how quickly she picked it up he may just let her pilot it on her own one day. Maybe. If she was lucky.

Taking one final drag from his cigarette he flicks it off to the side and watches as it whips down the ship and off towards who knows where. Glancing back towards Terra he motions towards the wheel. "Now…" He starts as he takes her hands and places them at the three and nine o’clock positions on the wheel. "Firm grip so you don’t loose hold of it, last thing you want is to have it spin out to one side. Unless of course you do want it to do that.” A small chuckle follows his sentence as he positions himself behind her, his eyes carefully watching the gauges and various other things as she steers. "But let’s just stick with basics for today."

    "But, to make sharp turns, you have to push really hard..." thought spoken softly and maybe she would have tried if not for Setzer's decision to take it step by step. And obedient as ever, diligent to listen thoroughly, she complied. "Feel? It feels....solid..." Quite the dry response to be given, but it's to be expected of a woman still learning to run by what is the actual common sense of people in this day and age. Determination is bright however in her doelike eyes as she raised her gaze to the skies and scenery before them. Maybe it was lost within a passing breeze, but there had been a small gasp at the view.

    Expression flourished with awe at the beauty of how the world seemed even larger from their position. It was more breathtaking and exciting when behind the wheel, taking charge of the journey though she is being supported by the gambler. At the talk of turns, her attention snaps back to his words as she nodded. Fingers to squeeze more tightly along the wheel, following the movements.

There’s a certain calmness that comes with flying an airship. It allows the gambler time to not focus on anything really. Flying is so second nature to him at this point that he’s certain he could do it in his sleep. Often enough he takes the time to reflect on recent events, however there are some days where he just zones out, lets his mind wander and yet still manages to pilot it with relative ease. Besides it would get tiring to consistently focus on flying, instead he liked to save his energy for when it really mattered. It was those times where someone would truly see what he was capable of.

Anyone with some common knowledge of ships could fly an airship, it was simple really, but it took someone gifted to make it dance.

   Simply fascinating to her how a machine can fly, soar through the skies and easily carry several tons of weight she wouldn't manage alone. Able to glide with ease and outrun pursuers and of course, the beauty of flying may be from a certain gambler's own touch as he is the proprietor of this airship.

   And seemed to have noticed her intrigue. "Ah, Setzer," calling out in response, effectively lured from her fascination to gaze towards the gambler. Not a bit of shame or flush to blemish her cheeks for staring for said solid half hour. Emotions still difficult for her to grasp, but her face lit up nonethless at the last words. "I do.... would it be alright? But then again...isn't this airship precious to you?" Considerate as it is no secret how fond Setzer is of his beloved airship.
