Luke & Nicola and the Trail of Crumbs:
Okay, so a lot of us have been in this fandom for a while and some might be new. If you're here, on this blog, reading this now, then I think it's safe to say that you see IT between Luke and Nic and are rooting for them to be together in REAL life and even our favorites themselves said they don't mind it and think it's sweet. ππ₯°
So with a little help from another friend and Lukola fan, here's a list of crumbs/hints that have come from Luke and Nic. I mainly focused on what they've shared, but I did include an interesting one from Shonda.( she knows!) I think all these things are FAR more telling than anything from the side characters. It's Luke and Nic's story. They're the leads and the ones we need to listen to. ππ
So here's a list to catch up OR remind you of what they've told us so far..since August:
1. Sweet breakfast/brunch treat - Luke loves a sweet treat. ππ(this was the start of "Chaos Week" in August,Β just one day after Luke returned from Italy and went back home to Nic in the UK) π
2. Scrabble board with Guinness ( a favorite drink of Lukeβs) in view
3. "Drink your Milk" shirt pic ( which was very likely was Luke's that she was wearing)
4. Shared "Bless the Telephone " song in story on IG.Β Lyrics very much fit Luke
5. Shared "Juna" song in story on IG.Β A very sexy song. Also applies to Luke.
6. Shonda shares Lukola pic(borrowed from Nic's IG grid that Nic posted on July 16th)from last day of filming using "You're my Best Friend " by Queen in IG story (Note - this song was written by a member of the band for his WIFE.)
7. And then we have the fact that Shonda wrote a story about friends to lovers or coworkers to lovers, and says was inspired by the Colin/Pen story of season 3. Or IMO inspired by watching Luke/Nicππ
8. Nic shared IG stories with songs - "Birds of a Feather "by Billie EilishΒ and "Talk Talk" one day after Emmys which contains lyrics about "getting it on " in a hotel room. Since we're very certain he went to Los Angeles wth her for the Emmys,Β they were, of course sharing a hotel room...ππ
9. Trip to NY for TIMES 100 event - both posted on same day( him from airport lounge, her from the plane)
10. Matching IG activities- online at same time,Β liking posts very close together or nearly in the same time frame
11. Luke's hands visible in the background of pic at Nic's house as she gets ready by her stylists for Glamour awards(though by this point very sure they are living together) and you can see what looks like a wedding band on his left hand on the MARRIED finger
12. By October 1st, Nic's very special Claddagh ring had also switched to her left hand and being worn in MARRIED position
13. Luke and Nic liking post of his "The Shape of Things" costar announcing her marriage to her costar from another project.
14. Nic liking posts about Tom/Zendaya and one that mentioned Catherine O'Hara meeting her now husband on a movie set(Nic seems to be fan of reel to REAL love stories because she's in one of her own with her costar,Β Luke Newton..ππ₯°)
15. On October 3rd, Luke shared the "It's October 3rd" Mean Girls meme but used Polin pics and posted Xx - which many think is a nod to him and Nic. Her petite self, next to him on his left, usually. π
16. Nic's TIME magazine interview and she brings up Luke(and it was her who mentioned him, she was not asked to, but just did it any way) and says IN THE INTERVIEW - "People want me to marry Luke" π₯°π That's interesting, Nic. Did you say that because you already did? ( I think they are. Marriage truther for a while now. I think they pulled a Ryan/Eva on us..)ππ€΅π»ππ°πΌββοΈ
17. 18. Two Tatcha promos Nic did, were she flashed her Claddagh ring in the "in relationship" way, and the βdemure TT trend that was happening in early August when all speculations on TT was she and Luke are back together, that one meant that she has seen the TT posts and she is in agreement! ππ₯°
19. Nic took a pic with the cast of the " Back to the Future " musical in the West End show in the UK. Very likely Luke went to that show with her and probably took the picture. Also, Luke is a big "Back to the Future " fan, so if he had no prior commitments that evening of the show, I think he definitely went to go see it too with Nic. π
20. They both recently "liked" a post about Guinness( one of Lukeβs fav drinks)on IG at the same time and Luke doesn't even follow that account... ππ
