She’s my favorite from Ayakashi Sisters and I always cry in the episode 70 (which is one of my favorite episodes). Btw, what is your opinion about Sailor Moon Crystal? I myself don’t like it at all. I think the 90’s anime is so much better when it comes to the character development and the friendship between Usagi and the other girls. In 90’s anime they all have their own distinctive personalities, problems, hopes and fears, but SMC… Well, they don’t have any of those things. And SMC’s Usagi is pretty horrible and awful person, if you ask me. She doesn’t seem to care about her friends at all in SMC and all she can think about is Mamo-chan and how she wants to be together with him forever.

On SMC, I’m pretty much with you there. I don’t know much about how Usagi is portrayed but what I’ve heard, is very much like what you’re saying, that she’s selfish and doesn’t care about her friends, which is so out of character for Usagi. I only got to Mako-chan’s episode in the beginning and dropped it, just couldn’t take the animation art anymore. It’s so cheaply done it’s ridiculous, for something so huge as Sailor Moon, with the technology we have now. I’m also sad how the whole SMC business got all the fans divided into groups that fight and hate on each other.
I too feel like the original anime was more about them all, about the Sailor Senshi and their friendships, than Usagi/Mamoru (which I already dislike as a pairing), all the girls had their place in the anime rather than everything being about Usagi and Mamoru.

What comes to Sailor Moon (90′s), my favorite character would be the one in my icon, Koan. I can’t really tell you exactly why or what drew me to her, but when I was younger and watched Sailor Moon, I would draw her a lot, so I guess her design alone was enough, but later on I’ve begun to appreciate her personality too. Other faves would be also Haruka Tenoh and Seiya!
The only long, full manga I’ve read from Suenobu is LIFE (LIMIT hasn’t been fully translated, I think? Haven’t found one at least) and it was the one that brought me to read more of Suenobu’s work. Well, the drama version of LIFE was, to be fair, and because of that, I read the manga too. I love it so much that I have TWO blogs dedicated to Suenobu’s work, in fact. They’re not the most active blogs out there though, considering the lack of content, but they’re there regardless.

Hmm I haven’t been so much into SM lately as I don’t watch Crystal and I’ve not rewatched the original either, but… When I was, matching some of your faves, Haruka/Michiru, Seiya/Usagi, Haruka/Usagi and also Haruka/Minako!

I’m not too big on watching anime, but I’m a fan of Kuroko no Basuke, Dramatical Murder, Nobunaga Concerto, Ninja Scroll (series & movie). I’ve seen a lot more in the past such as Nana and Paradise Kiss, Chobits, etc. What comes to movies, Millennium Actress... Uhhh I can’t remember much else? I’m generally more into japanese dramas :)
