Back from Hiatus and a Miraculous Dokomi
ā¦remember when some time ago, I said lifeĀ was sorta stressful for meĀ that timeĀ and I hoped it would get better after Easter? Well. It only got worse and although my job is still very demanding, the worst is over now. (At least thatās what I want to believe as some cosplay projects are off the shelf now what allows me to be more active on tumblr again, timewise.)
Anyways, I attended Dokomi in DĆ¼sseldorf this weekend and it was more than just miraculous - not only because I was wearing Adrien this weekend. AlthoughĀ I yet have to receive the pictures from the spontaneous photoshoot on Sunday, here have a first glimpse from when I arrived at the convention, high quality bath mirror selfie XD
Credits for the shirt go to yumeecosplay, the jacket and the ring are selfmade and I paid way too much for the jeans X//Dā
I startedĀ moving through the halls immediatly (bc the weather outside was notā¦so miraculous) andĀ look who I found owo
Ladybug. Happy Adrien me. And she was so sweet. o//w//o
(I donāt know her tumblr yet to link her,Ā unfortunatley.)
Then I came across another sweet bugaboo whichĀ tumblr AIM I don'tĀ have either //Dā
And, at last, I met princess @just-saoto x///3
See us both waiting for Thomas Astrucās Panel on Saturday noon. (Those areĀ the only pictures of us so far, we didnāt manage to take some decent ones that day. ;;ā)
And the Panel, OMG, the Panel.
He was so sweet and kind and caring and cute thatĀ Iām in loss for words to describe it. And so funny. We were laughing so much, but one of my most favourite moments was when a Volpina asked a question and he inquired if that really had been a question or actually a lie X//D
The panel was awesome from start to end and he even answered the Felix-question we all feared to happen very diplomaticly and funnily.
Quoting from memory protocol, he basically went like:
āFelix would have worked for one episode or two. Maybe even three. But after the fourth you would have started thinking: "GIIIIIRL, WAAAKE UUUUP.ā When we had kept Felix, we would have had a male lead whoās a jerk and a female lead whoās stupid. With Adrien, we now have a male lead who is Prince Charming and a female lead who is badass.ā
(Not that Felix might could have been developed in a way he made the series work, but heās a discared design and thatās it, Ā and I wish people would stop asking Thomas about him, OTL)
And then a friend of mine who was sitting in the front rows was actually dared to ask if all ML cosplayers could take a group selfie after the panel and thomas went like, well, ok, of course. And when theĀ first person startedĀ to take selfies with him after theĀ panel, suddenly everyone did and so I took my chance. X//DĀ When he greeted Ju and meĀ with "Ahh, our most favourite coupleā and then even noticed Alyaās phone charm I made for my mobile phone (this man has such an awesome eye for details)Ā and complimented me about it, I forgot how to English and was nothing but a stuttering mess. /)////(\
Because I was struggling to find a good angle for a selfie, someone else took the phone and yeahā¦
Someone pinch me, alright, I still canāt believe it. (I can nowĀ imagine quite wellĀ how Marinette felt when Adrien touched her shoulder in Dessinateur //Dā) *actual Chat-sire cat in that Moment* *happy smol kitten noises*
Later that day, there was alsoĀ a Meet and Greet withĀ Thomas Astruc and after I promised him back in December to giveĀ himĀ Ladybug and Chat Noir macarons when he comesĀ to Dokomi, I now was ableĀ to make that promise come true.
ā¦and when they joked about āCamembert macaronsā in the twitchĀ interview some weeks ago, I thought, well, challenge accepted and prepared some of those as well X//D <3
After waiting in line for almost 50 minutes I presented them to him and the best reaction was, yes,Ā most definitley on the camembert macarons XD His honest, loud laughter when I told him the white onesĀ came withĀ camembert flavour - for real, he asked,Ā and I told him he should taste one if he didnāt believe me. And after tasting he was likeĀ 'Itās really camembert. Itās weird, but it actually tastes good. But itās still weird at the same time.ā X///D
(And he actually asked if he could keep them. Of course, man, I made them for you, how can one be so polite and sweet?Ā //D)
And then his suprised expression when I pulled the Ladybug Zine from my bag and asked him if I minded signing it, how sweet he wasĀ about the whole thing, and ah, excuse me while I amĀ fangirlingĀ harder then I should and keep forgetting howĀ to be a decent adultĀ ///Dā
ā¦Iāll never let go of that one again //D
Sunday greeted us with better weather, but because I wasĀ taking this as a chance toĀ walk around in the outside area, meetingĀ people, I took only a few selfies that day.
For once, with sweet @just-saoto as Ema Skyeā¦Ā

And then I met @kardecosplay as beautiful Ladybug x//3
And beside that, I met so many sweet and nice people that weekend, I still canāt believe itās real. It passed by way too fast, really. >///w///<ā
ā¦then again, thatās good news for you, because cosplay wonāt keep me THAT busy anymoreĀ until JuneĀ and Iāll return to updating this blog and - more importantly - write the FAQ for the @miraculousmacaronday blog.
Sorry again for not updating so long, not replying to asks and everything, I solelmly swear to do better from now on //D
