          as  if  the  cosmos  radiated  off  of  its  wings,  a  universe  held  together  by  a  center  star,  subtle  gaze  stuck  upon  the  unknown  bug  pokemon  ;  fluttering  its  wings,  his  own  beautifly  perches  upon  his  shoulder,  curious.  his  hand  twitches,  poke  ball  at  the  ready,  before  the  foreign  butterfly  reaches  its  destination:  the  arm  of  a  younger  girl,  implications  of  its  ownership  present.  a  slight  bow  of  his  head  follows,  a  meager  apology  for  watching  so  closely.

vivillion must’ve gotten into something ,  she thinks , as she lands on her outstretched arm and begins to nuzzle into her cheek. serena turns towards the other man in the area , and she smiles -- no apology necessary , she wants to say ; but finds it needless. the cobblestone beneath her shoe wobbles slightly as she takes a step forward. vivillion glides from her arm to the stranger’s , landing on his shoulder but quickly moving towards his head to eye the other pokémon taking residence upon his body.

     ❛   Half an hour from now. There’s still much to be done in preparations, however, the lack of a model is my biggest concern. Will you help me ? It will only take a few hours at most.     ❜         Of course the woman is more than welcomed to decline the request ( though Valerie might be a little stubborn about it ).

as if she’d thought of saying no for even a moment.  whether it was a minute from now or a year , her only answer would be yes -- people - pleaser as her heart is. she looks down for a moment , to at least pretend like it was a question , fingers brushing her skirt , then her gaze returns to the woman in front of her.

❛  BUT HOW DO YOU EXPECT ME TO STAY TRUE TO MYSELF and at the same time keep my humbleness ?  ❜  though head ruffles weren’t necessarily her favorite thing in the world, a soft giggle followed by a smile hummed from between peach lips. there was no doubt that luna’d begun to feel quite lonely having the title all to herself. knowing that she had a senior almost her age did manage to soothe her heart just the slightest bit.  ❛  have you practiced your alolan accent yet, sere ?  ❜  /  @thaliac.

the lace of her dress  rubs against her legs when the breeze blows , and she lets her feet dig deeper into the sand.   ❝   hmm... i guess i’m just saying that it’s no good to brag.   ❞   she does her best to impart her wisdom , now having the responsibility of helping a younger champion than she. though her age was still young enough to claim that she was one of ‘ youth ’ , she felt her soul had gained so many years in her run -- did luna feel the same way? there was no way to ask properly , so instead , she settles into small - talk , the way one does.

                   “No, can’t say I HAVE—” If he were being completely honest, it sounded kind of crazy. He watched her get zipped up and ready for her ‘big flight’ as it were, perplexed by the concept. He’d done battles in the air, of course — but in hot air balloons or on top of raised platforms! He’d kept up battling here and there with a few trainers since his days of becoming a researcher, but something like this seemed a bit too much for him nowadays. “Kalos is pretty innovative, huh?” His smile widened as he saw how EXCITED her Pokémon was to get to fly around with her. “Sounds like fun honestly, but— none of my Pokémon can fly…”

a hop & a skip  over to her bag that was attended to by her braixen , the pouch sat on the pokémon’s lap. she reached deep into it , until she pulled out the pokéball she had been looking for -- then held it toward gary , ball in the palm of her hand and  expectance upon her features.

  YOU’VE BEEN BLESSED BY THE SUN. YOU EMBODY IT’S LIGHT & PURITY. Yet still , there are days where a single dark cloud rings much too heavy over your head. That weight in which you CARRY ‘pon your broad shoulders , how heavy it is ! You who wanders , ever SEARCHING. PRAYING for that one true place to belong. You desire it so. CRAVE it to a fault. She is the one who RESEMBLES a similar glow. She wants you to be HAPPY but how can you be in such a cruel world ? This lonely METROPOLIS. & YET , still you flourish ( although just barely. ) By the skin of your teeth. He places a petal of yellow hue ‘pon her ear , it suits her &  the boy manages a laugh. Perhaps in this moment , he can be at PEACE. / @lacethalia has entered the warehouse.

her smile is as bright  as the yellow floret he tucks in her hair , the flower as yellow as the scar that ties her hair into it’s golden , perfectly curled ponytail. do people recognize it? the symbol of her place in the world? her head tilts downwards in a smaller , shyer , more hidden smile , then she meets his eye once more.

though there’s a hint  of mischievousness in valerie’s request & smile , serena returns the gift of innocence in hopes that the favor isn’t too crazy ; because she already knows her answer will be ‘ yes ’. -- and she’s not quite disappointed , giving an almost relieved breath.

❛ i learned the hard way that you don’t catch those things with like, your bare hands. i strongly wouldn’t recommend it. i mean, i’d probably do it again, just to keep it real, but like… yeah, definitely not worth it. ❜
